How much does the 2025 Ford F-150 cost?

Prices have softened 21.83% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,926 listings available, which suggests you have a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Ford F-150 a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Ford F-150 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.33/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

The 2025 F-150 is built for you if you want a full-size truck with a very broad range of configurations, from work-focused setups to more upscale and off-road-oriented versions. Ford also adds new standard and optional driver-assistance systems for 2025, while the lineup still leans on strong capability and useful technology.

The trade-offs are clear: fuel economy is poor, manoeuvrability is poor, and the value proposition is only average.

With 36.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Ford F-150 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 F-150’s appeal comes from its breadth of choice, strong capability, and the sense that Ford has built it to handle a wide range of jobs. The expert notes also point to a truck that combines serious substance with useful technology and broad versatility.

Its 5.0-litre V8 is described as one of the best ever, with robust output and a strong reputation for sound and feel, while the twin-turbocharged 3.5-litre EcoBoost V6 is presented as the more capable and more fuel-efficient choice. Ford also says the F-150 offers competitive value in Canada, even if the overall cost-effectiveness verdict is only middling.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that higher running costs and size-related compromises can make it less satisfying if you do mostly urban driving.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Ford F-150?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Tremor builds on the XLT trim level with off-roading equipment, exclusive design details, body-colour and black exterior accents, Active Orange touches, and all-terrain tyres. It is one of three off-road-focused versions, and the cabin uses orange accents and stitching to set it apart.
• Powertrain: The Tremor can be had with a standard 3.5-litre V6 or an optional 5.0-litre V8. The V8 makes 400 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque, while the EcoBoost V6 is described as more capable and more fuel efficient.
• Safety package: BlueCruise is standard starting with the Tremor trim, and the 2025 model adds oncoming-traffic detection for automatic emergency braking, evasive steering assist, intersection braking assist, predictive speed assist, Road Edge Detection, Active Blind-Spot Assist, and Driver State Detection.
• Infotainment: You get a 12-inch productivity screen and a 12-inch Sync 4 infotainment touchscreen, plus wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, native navigation, voice recognition, and an available 14-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: The Tremor EcoBoost is rated at 12.9 L/100 km combined, while the V8 is rated at 13.7 L/100 km. In testing, the V8 averaged 14.9 L/100 km.

Which 2025 Ford F-150 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Ford F-150 is offered in 8 trim levels: XL, STX, XLT, Tremor, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Raptor.

Here's the short version:

• XL: This is the entry point if you want the F-150’s core capability and broad configurability without paying for extra luxury or off-road hardware.
• STX: This is a sensible step up if you want a little more style and equipment while staying relatively value-focused.
• XLT: This is the best-value trim for most buyers because it is the foundation for the Tremor and balances equipment, usability, and price well.
• Tremor: Choose this if you want the off-road-focused version with standard 4WD, off-road-tuned suspension, skid plates, locking rear axle, trail driving modes, and BlueCruise.
• Lariat: This suits you if you want a more upscale daily driver with more comfort and technology than the lower trims.
• King Ranch: Pick this if you want a more premium, distinctive truck with a stronger luxury lean.
• Platinum: This is for buyers who want a high-end F-150 with a more polished, upscale feel.
• Raptor: This is the performance-oriented choice if you want the most aggressive off-road character in the lineup.

BlueCruise is standard starting with the Tremor trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Ford F-150?

This is a moderate, selective-buyer market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 36.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,926 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 21.83% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $61,744 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Ford F-150's resale value?

The current average of $61,744 CAD sits slightly below last year's $78,983 CAD.

That drop suggests sellers may need to be more realistic on asking price if they want to move a used F-150 quickly. It also means buyers have more leverage than they did a year ago, especially if a truck is priced above the current market average.

For future sellers, the key takeaway is that the market has already reset lower, so condition, trim, and equipment will matter more when you list. Trucks with desirable powertrains and strong equipment packages should still draw attention, but only if they are priced in line with current demand.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Ford F-150 safe?

The F-150 earns five-star ratings from NHTSA and scores well in IIHS crash tests.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Ford’s BlueCruise hands-free driving technology is standard starting with the Tremor trim, and the 2025 model adds oncoming-traffic detection for automatic emergency braking, evasive steering assist, intersection braking assist, predictive speed assist, Road Edge Detection, Active Blind-Spot Assist, and Driver State Detection. The system is impressive and clearly communicates its status, but you still need to be ready to take over when conditions confuse it.

Should I buy a 2025 Ford F-150 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 36.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 21.83% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Ford adds new standard and optional driver-assistance systems, plus a new Platinum Plus option package.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $55,742 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $61,744 CAD average.
• It adds thoughtful updates inside and out, including updated BlueCruise.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It reshuffles equipment across eight trims, three beds, three cabs, and six powertrains.

The bottom line:

The 2025 is the better pick if you want the newest safety and convenience updates, plus the broadest current-market shopping pool. If your priority is saving money, the 2024 is the smarter value play, especially if you can find one with the equipment you want.
