How much does the 2025 Ford F-150 cost?

Prices have softened 20.18% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,875 listings available, which suggests you have a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Ford F-150 a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Ford F-150 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.33/10 expert rating.

The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

The 2025 F-150 is built for buyers who want a full-size pickup with broad configuration choice, serious capability, and modern technology. Its lineup spans multiple cab styles, bed lengths, trim levels, and powertrains, so you can tailor it to work, family duty, or recreation.

The trade-offs are familiar for a truck this size: poor fuel economy and poor manoeuvrability. It also carries an average value proposition, even though the overall package is highly compelling for shoppers who want maximum choice in one nameplate.

With 35.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Ford F-150 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 F-150 is presented as a truck with serious substance across the range, and its broad lineup suggests Ford has engineered it to cover a wide spread of use cases. The expert evaluation also points to strong capability, useful technology, and a well-rounded overall package.

Its performance content highlights a robust V8 option, strong towing and payload figures, and a powertrain lineup that includes more capable and more fuel-efficient alternatives. That points to a truck designed to handle demanding work without feeling underbuilt.

Ford also notes that the first scheduled maintenance visit is on the house.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a truck with this much capability and complexity can be costly to live with if you choose a poorly equipped or heavily worked example.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Ford F-150?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Tremor stands out with off-road-focused hardware, exclusive design details, and a more rugged look than the XLT it builds on. It also adds body-colour and black exterior details, Active Orange accents, exclusive wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires, and orange interior accents.
• Powertrain: The Tremor can be had with a standard 3.5-litre V6 or an optional 5.0-litre V8. The V8 delivers 400 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque, while the EcoBoost V6 is more capable and more fuel efficient.
• Safety package: BlueCruise is standard starting with the Tremor trim, and Ford adds oncoming-traffic detection for automatic emergency braking, evasive steering assist, intersection braking assist, predictive speed assist, Road Edge Detection, Active Blind-Spot Assist, and Driver State Detection.
• Infotainment: The truck uses a 12-inch productivity screen and a 12-inch Sync 4 infotainment touchscreen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto are onboard, and the system also supports voice recognition and native navigation.
• Fuel efficiency: The Tremor EcoBoost is rated at 12.9 L/100 km combined, while the V8 is rated at 13.7 L/100 km. In testing, the V8 averaged 14.9 L/100 km.

Which 2025 Ford F-150 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Ford F-150 is offered in 8 trim levels: Tremor, XLT, Raptor, Raptor R, and Platinum Plus.

Here's the short version:

• XLT: This is the trim the Tremor builds on, so it makes sense if you want a more straightforward F-150 before adding specialised off-road hardware.
• Tremor: This is the best-value choice if you want off-road capability, distinctive styling, and strong all-around substance without jumping to the pricier Raptor models.
• Raptor: Choose this if you want a more extreme off-road-focused F-150 than the Tremor, with a higher-performance character.
• Raptor R: This is the most serious performance-oriented off-road version mentioned here, aimed at buyers who want the most aggressive setup.
• Platinum Plus: Pick this if you want the new luxury-focused package and a more decadent feel.

BlueCruise is standard starting with the Tremor trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Ford F-150?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 35.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,875 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.18% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $62,099 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Ford F-150's resale value?

The current average of $62,099 CAD sits slightly below last year's $77,801 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, which can make resale timing more important if you plan to sell later. If you buy at the right price now, you may have less depreciation pressure than someone who paid closer to last year’s average.

The F-150’s broad appeal and strong demand should help support future interest, especially for well-equipped examples with desirable powertrains and safety tech.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Ford F-150 safe?

The 2025 Ford F-150 earns five-star ratings from NHTSA and scores well in IIHS crash tests.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Ford’s BlueCruise hands-free driving technology is standard starting with the Tremor trim, and the truck also adds oncoming-traffic detection for automatic emergency braking, evasive steering assist, intersection braking assist, predictive speed assist, Road Edge Detection, Active Blind-Spot Assist, and Driver State Detection. The system communicates clearly through the driver display, head-up display, and audible warnings.

A key caveat is that BlueCruise is impressive but not infallible, and it can struggle in situations such as lane narrowing, construction zones, or poor lane markings. That means you should still expect to stay engaged behind the wheel.

Should I buy a 2025 Ford F-150 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 35.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.18% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Ford added a slew of new standard and optional driver-assistance systems for this model year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $55,903 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $62,099 CAD average.
• It adds thoughtful updates inside and out, plus updated BlueCruise.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It reshuffles standard and optional equipment across the lineup while keeping the F-150’s broad versatility.

The bottom line: If you want the most up-to-date safety tech and the widest current-market shopping opportunity, the 2025 is the primary path to consider. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2024 is the better secondary path, while the 2026 makes sense if you want the latest equipment mix and can wait for a newer model year.
