How much does the 2024 Ford F-150 cost?

Prices have softened 10.20% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,807 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for you to compare trims and prices.

Is the 2024 Ford F-150 a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Ford F-150 earns a 4.6/5 user rating and an 8.00/10 expert rating.

The model scores 9/10 across Form and function and Technology.

Owners repeatedly praise the truck’s powerful engine choices, smooth driving experience, and strong towing capability. They also like the range of features available at a more affordable price than higher trims, which fits the F-150’s broad work-and-family use case.

The main trade-offs are centre-console storage, the absence of push-button start, and value concerns tied to pricing. Even so, the truck’s versatility makes sense if you want one vehicle that can handle school runs, hauling, towing, and recreation.

Only 36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market is somewhat selective rather than deeply discounted.

Is the 2024 Ford F-150 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe the truck as powerful, smooth, and capable, with feedback that points to a dependable ownership experience over time. The expert drive notes also support that impression by highlighting how the truck settles down once it has weight in the bed and how the transmission stays in the right gear.

Ford also includes a three-year/60,000-kilometre factory warranty and a five-year/100,000-kilometre powertrain warranty, which helps reduce early ownership risk. For used buyers, the bigger long-term concern is less about basic durability and more about choosing a well-equipped example that fits your needs and budget.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Ford F-150?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base XL is pretty spartan, while higher trims add more comfort and luxury touches. You should pay close attention to feature gaps if you want a more upscale cabin, since some mid trims still have cheaper-looking surfaces.
• Powertrain: You get multiple engine choices, including a standard turbocharged 2.7-litre EcoBoost V6, an available 3.5-litre turbo V6 hybrid, and V8 options on certain trims. Efficiency and capability vary a lot by configuration.
• Safety package: Every truck comes with Ford CoPilot 360, which includes automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, and cross traffic alert. A 360-degree camera is recommended on higher trims, and BlueCruise is available on Tremor and up.
• Infotainment: All models come with a 12-inch touchscreen running SYNC 4, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, and a 12-inch digital gauge cluster. The system is easy to learn and use.
• Fuel efficiency: The hybrid setup is rated at 11.4 L/100 km in the city, 10.1 L/100 km on the highway, and 10.8 L/100 km combined. The Raptor R is rated at 19.7 L/100 km combined.

Which 2024 Ford F-150 trim should I buy?

The 2024 Ford F-150 is offered in 8 trim levels: XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Platinum Plus, Tremor, and Raptor R.

Here's the short version:

• XL: This is the work-focused starting point, but it is pretty spartan. It makes sense if you want the lowest entry point and do not need many comfort extras.
• XLT: This is the best-value trim for many buyers because it balances equipment, usability, and price. It is also one of the trims where you can get the hybrid powertrain.
• Lariat: This trim adds more comfort and a more upscale feel, while still keeping the truck’s core capability intact.
• King Ranch: This is the luxury-leaning choice with heated and ventilated front leather seats, heated rear seats, wood trim, and ambient lighting.
• Platinum: This is another upscale option with more premium touches and access to the hybrid powertrain.
• Platinum Plus: This is the most luxurious-feeling version mentioned, with a Smoked Truffle interior and Dark Smoked Truffle accents.
• Tremor: This is the off-road-focused choice, with a lifted suspension, off-road-tuned shocks and springs, beefy control arms, and an electronic locking rear differential.
• Raptor R: This is the extreme performance off-road model, with a supercharged 5.2-litre V8, massive tyres, and serious suspension hardware.

Ford CoPilot 360 is standard, but BlueCruise is only available on Tremor and higher trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Ford F-150?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to shop carefully and enough price movement to create opportunities.

• Deal availability: 36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,807 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.20% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $54,386 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Ford F-150's resale value?

The current average of $54,386 CAD sits slightly below last year's $60,561 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable point, but it also means future resale values may face some pressure if the market stays well supplied. For a seller, the upside is that the F-150 still has broad appeal because it covers work, family, and recreation in one package.

Strong equipment, desirable trims, and well-kept examples should hold buyer interest better than stripped-down trucks. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Ford F-150 safe?

The 2024 Ford F-150 earns five-star overall ratings from NHTSA, with five-star side-crash and frontal-crash ratings and four-star rollover ratings.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Every F-150 comes with Ford CoPilot 360, which includes automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, and cross traffic alert. You can also get BlueCruise on Tremor and higher trims, along with lane-change assist and lane-repositioning for 2024.

There are a few caveats to keep in mind. The expert review recommends moving up the trim line for a 360-degree camera, and the IIHS testing noted a Poor result for front-crash protection of rear-seat passengers, along with Poor seatbelt reminders and Marginal child seat anchors.

Should I buy a 2024 Ford F-150 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.20% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 adds updated BlueCruise and thoughtful usability improvements.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $49,083 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $54,386 CAD average.
• It adds the Raptor R debut and the XLT Heritage Edition.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $60,156 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $54,386 CAD average.
• It expands driver-assistance tech and adds a Platinum Plus package.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2024 if you want the updated tech and a softer market than last year. If price matters most, the 2023 is the better value path, while the 2025 makes sense if you want the newest feature set and broader lineup.
