How much does the 2024 Toyota Sienna cost?

There are 216 listings available, which suggests you have some inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2024 Toyota Sienna a good car?

Generally — the 2024 Toyota Sienna earns a 4/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 9/10.

The Sienna fits well if you want a family-focused minivan with three rows of seating, power sliding doors, and a standard hybrid setup that prioritises efficiency. It also comes across as comfy and practical, with a distinctive design that may appeal if you want something less conventional than a typical minivan.

The trade-offs are clear: performance is fairly pedestrian, and the technology is looking a bit outdated. Even so, the combination of efficiency, space, and value makes it a strong fit for busy households.

With 26.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is a decent amount of market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2024 Toyota Sienna reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Toyota Sienna is built around a standard hybrid powertrain, and the expert assessment points to strong efficiency as one of its defining strengths. Toyota’s hybrid setup is also supported by broad warranty coverage for hybrid components and the battery, which helps reduce ownership anxiety over time.

The performance notes suggest the Sienna is more about smooth, efficient commuting than excitement, but that does not make it fragile or troublesome. If you are buying used, the main long-term risk is less about durability and more about living with its slower acceleration and older-feeling tech.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Toyota Sienna?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Sienna is offered in LE, XLE, XSE, and Limited trim levels. The base LE is the most stripped-back choice, while upper trims add more upscale lighting, more distinctive styling, and extra cabin equipment. If you want the best value, the mid-range trims are the ones to compare most closely.
• Powertrain: Every Sienna uses a 2.5-litre four-cylinder hybrid system with two electric motors and a small battery pack. Front-wheel-drive models produce 245 horsepower total, and AWD versions add a rear electric motor for extra traction.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense is standard and includes lane departure alert, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, road sign recognition, full-speed adaptive cruise control, and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are also standard.
• Infotainment: You get a nine-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The system also includes physical buttons for common functions, and some trims add in-dash navigation.
• Fuel efficiency: The hybrid powertrain is rated at 6.6 L/100 km city, 6.5 highway, and 6.6 combined in front-wheel-drive form. AWD models are rated at 6.8 L/100 km city, 6.6 highway, and 6.7 combined.

Which 2024 Toyota Sienna trim should I buy?

The 2024 Toyota Sienna is offered in 4 trim levels: LE, XLE, XSE, and Limited.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the value-focused starting point, and it gives you the core Sienna formula with the hybrid powertrain, three rows, and standard safety features. It makes sense if you want the lowest entry price and do not need extra comfort or style upgrades.
• XLE: This is the trim to watch if you want a more balanced mix of equipment and everyday usability. It should suit you if you want more comfort and convenience without jumping all the way to the top end.
• XSE: This is the sportier-looking choice, with a black metallic mesh grille, black heated side mirrors, 20-inch dark wheels, and leatherette-trimmed sport seats. It is the one to consider if style matters and you want a more distinctive cabin and exterior.
• Limited: This is the most upscale version, adding the richest equipment mix in the lineup. It is the right pick if you want the most premium-feeling Sienna and are willing to pay for it.

The safety package is standard across the lineup, so you do not need to move up a trim just to get Toyota Safety Sense.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Toyota Sienna?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 26.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 216 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.01% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $53,305 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Toyota Sienna's resale value?

The current average of $55,148 CAD sits slightly below last year's $59,303 CAD.

That softer pricing can work in your favour if you buy now, because you are starting from a lower cost base than a year ago. For a future seller, it also suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which may limit short-term upside if prices stay soft.

The Sienna’s strong efficiency and family-friendly appeal should still help it hold attention among used buyers. Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Toyota Sienna safe?

The 2024 Toyota Sienna earns four-star ratings in frontal crash and rollover, and five-star ratings in side crash protection from NHTSA. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gives it a top score of “Good” in crashworthiness and seat belt and child restraint systems, though front crash prevention is rated “Average.”

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense is standard across the lineup and includes lane departure alert, automatic emergency braking that can detect a pedestrian or cyclist, road sign recognition, full-speed adaptive cruise control, and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are also standard.

One caveat is that the lane-keeping assist can feel a bit side-to-side in use, and the front crash prevention result is not as strong as the rest of the safety package.

Should I buy a 2024 Toyota Sienna or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 26.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.01% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 stands out for its standard hybrid efficiency, three-row practicality, and broad safety equipment.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $51,326 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $55,148 CAD average.
• It focuses on family practicality and strong fuel economy.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $59,538 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $55,148 CAD average.
• It adds a quieter, easier-to-live-with feel and more convenient cargo use.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, efficiency, and family usefulness, the 2024 is the sensible default. If you are shopping on a tighter budget, the 2023 is the better value play. If you want to spend more for a newer-feeling experience, the 2025 is worth a look.
