Used 2024 Toyota RAV4 for Sale nearWindsor, ON

How much does the 2024 Toyota RAV4 cost?

Prices have softened 5.51% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 944 listings available, which suggests healthy inventory for shoppers comparing trims and prices.

Is the 2024 Toyota RAV4 a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Toyota RAV4 earns a 4.86/5 user rating and a 7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, spacious interior, advanced tech like the large touchscreen, and the vehicle’s practical, dependable character. The review summary also points to strong reliability and long-term usefulness, which fits a compact SUV built for everyday life.

The trade-offs are familiar: it can feel noisy and dull behind the wheel, and some shoppers may find the seat height and leather-seat feel less appealing. For you, that means the RAV4 makes the most sense if you value utility, comfort, and ownership confidence over driving excitement.

With 33.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s a decent amount of market flexibility if you shop carefully.

Is the 2024 Toyota RAV4 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.86/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback repeatedly points to a reliable, dependable, trouble-free vehicle that people feel they can count on for daily use and long-term ownership. The expert review also reinforces that message by describing the engine’s reputation for bulletproof dependability.

Toyota’s complimentary connected-services trials add some ownership value, and the broader cost-effectiveness commentary highlights the RAV4’s longstanding reputation for reliability as a source of peace of mind.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is age-related wear rather than a lack of core durability.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Toyota RAV4?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The gas lineup spans from the LE to the Limited, with upper trims adding a more upscale cabin, contrast-colour interior choices on select trims, fake skid plates, and a digital rearview mirror on Limited trims. The base LE is the most utilitarian, while the Limited is the most polished.
• Powertrain: You get a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine with 203 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic. AWD is standard, and the engine is described as loud and unrefined even though the transmission and dependability are strong.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 is standard, along with blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. The suite includes adaptive cruise control and lane-centring assist, but the system can be a bit intrusive or overly cautious in some situations.
• Infotainment: The Toyota Audio Multimedia system includes a standard 8-inch touchscreen, an available 10.5-inch screen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, and connected services. Drive Connect adds cloud navigation, a digital voice assistant, and concierge services.
• Fuel efficiency: The gas model is rated at 8.5 L/100 km combined, while the LE is slightly lower at 7.9 L/100 km. The hybrid is more fuel-efficient, but this bullet applies to the gas version you’re shopping here.

Which 2024 Toyota RAV4 trim should I buy?

The 2024 Toyota RAV4 is offered in 4 trim levels: LE, Trail, Limited, and TRD Off-Road.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the value play if you want the lowest entry price and can live with the most basic cabin presentation. It still gives you the core RAV4 formula, including standard AWD and the full safety suite.
• Trail: This is the best fit if you want the closest thing to an off-road-oriented gas RAV4 in Canada. It adds the more rugged character referenced in the review and suits buyers who want a tougher-looking, more utility-focused version.
• Limited: This is the best-value upscale choice if you want the most polished gas RAV4. It tops the Canadian gas lineup and adds the richest feature set, including the available digital rearview mirror.
• TRD Off-Road: This trim is mentioned in the review as the test vehicle, but it was discontinued in Canada at the end of the 2022 model year.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.5, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert are standard, so even lower trims start with a solid safety package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Toyota RAV4?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it rewards comparison shopping rather than impulse buying.

• Deal availability: 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 944 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.51% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $36,279 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Toyota RAV4's resale value?

The current average of $36,940 CAD sits slightly below last year's $39,096 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you as a buyer today, but it also suggests future sellers may face a more competitive resale environment if the market keeps easing. The RAV4’s broad appeal and strong reputation should still support demand, especially for well-kept examples with desirable equipment.

Because the model continues to attract practical-minded shoppers, clean listings with strong service history should remain easier to move than less desirable alternatives. Even so, the current trend means you should not expect resale strength to come from price appreciation alone.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.86/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Toyota RAV4 safe?

The 2024 RAV4 does not qualify for the latest Top Safety Pick award from IIHS, and it earns a Marginal rating in the latest small overlap frontal-impact crash test and an Acceptable rating in the latest side-impact test.

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 is standard, and in Canada the RAV4 also includes blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. The suite covers adaptive cruise control and lane-centring assist, plus other driver-assistance functions that generally work best on straighter highways.

The main caveat is that the safety results trail the model’s reputation in other areas, and the expert review specifically calls out the ageing design as part of the reason.

Should I buy a 2024 Toyota RAV4 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.51% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.86/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 keeps the current-generation RAV4’s practical formula while offering gas, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid drivetrains.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $34,946 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $36,940 CAD average.
• It is a well-rounded compact crossover with refreshed infotainment and a dependable, family-friendly character.

The bottom line: Choose the 2024 if you want the current-year market and are comfortable paying a bit more for a newer listing. If you’re price-sensitive, the 2023 is the smarter value pick because it delivers much of the same everyday usefulness for less money.
