Is the 2024 Toyota Corolla a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction, and the Corolla’s appeal is rooted in practicality, a broader model range, and more modern equipment than earlier versions. You get sedan and hatchback body styles, with the sedan offering the lowest entry price and the hatchback focused on sportier trims. It also brings a strong list of standard and available features, including LED headlights and taillights, a reversing camera, dynamic radar cruise control, lane departure alert, a touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and available blind spot monitoring. 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Toyota Corolla reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Corolla is described as well engineered and backed by a strong dependability record, with practicality, low running costs, and ease of use among its main strengths. It is also noted as the top-rated compact car in the J.D. Power 2024 U.S. Vehicle Dependability Study. For used buyers, that kind of reputation generally lowers long-term ownership risk, especially if you prioritise predictable upkeep over excitement.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Toyota Corolla?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 438 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.07% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $25,782 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Toyota Corolla's resale value?

The current average of $25,928 CAD sits slightly below last year's $29,155 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy more affordably now, but it also means a future seller may face a more competitive resale environment if market conditions stay similar. On the other hand, the Corolla’s practicality and broad appeal should continue to support steady demand. Strong owner satisfaction can also help keep interest healthy when you decide to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Toyota Corolla or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.07% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $27,358 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $25,928 CAD average.
• It adds a more polished, versatile package with broader powertrain and drivetrain choices.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2024 if you want the better value and are happy with a practical, well-equipped Corolla. If you want the newer model’s added polish and flexibility, the 2025 is the better fit, but price-sensitive buyers will likely find the 2024 the smarter buy.
