Should I buy a 2024 Toyota Corolla or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.27% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $27,178 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $25,861 CAD average.
• It adds a more enjoyable driving character while keeping the Corolla’s practical, well-equipped appeal.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the better primary pick if you want the stronger value case and more room to negotiate. If you are price-sensitive, the 2024’s softer pricing and decent deal share make it the smarter place to start; if you want the newer model-year experience and can pay more, the 2025 is worth a look.
