Yes — the 2024 Subaru Forester earns a 5/5 user rating, and its appeal comes from practicality, visibility, and all-weather confidence. • Inventory: There are 419 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.07% compared with last year.

What is the 2024 Subaru Forester's resale value?

The current average of $34,793 CAD sits slightly below last year's $38,262 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy more affordably now, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive market if prices stay under pressure. The Forester’s practical reputation and broad appeal should help support demand, especially among shoppers who value all-weather confidence and everyday usefulness. If you keep the vehicle in good condition, its steady buyer interest should help it hold value reasonably well.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Subaru Forester or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.07% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $30,014 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $34,793 CAD average.
• It emphasises everyday practicality with standard all-wheel drive and a roomy cabin.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $37,622 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $34,793 CAD average.
• It adds more advanced tech, a quieter cabin, and a better-equipped base model.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the best all-around pick if you want a well-rounded Forester with softened pricing and decent deal availability. If your priority is saving money, the 2023 is the smarter value play; if you want newer features and refinement, the 2025 is the upgrade path.
