Is the 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander earns a user rating of 5/5, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It stands out in the compact SUV class because it offers a standard third row, giving you seven-seat flexibility that many rivals do not match. You also get a more modern cabin than the previous generation, plus a generous base equipment list with heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, an eight-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a strong list of safety features. If you want a compact SUV that feels a little different from the usual five-seat formula, that packaging and interior design are a major part of its appeal. 28.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Outlander’s appeal is built around comfort, a quiet cabin, and generous standard equipment rather than complexity or high-strung performance. Its straightforward gas powertrain and standard all-wheel drive in Canada may be reassuring if you want a familiar ownership experience. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright reliability drama and more about whether the slow acceleration and small third row will still suit your needs over time.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 28.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 473 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.09% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $33,056 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander's resale value?

The current average of $33,056 CAD sits slightly below last year's $35,199 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Outlander has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future sellers if the market stabilises. Because the current average is still within the year-round range, you are not looking at a model that has fallen off a cliff in value. If you buy at the right price and keep it in good condition, you may have a better chance of limiting your loss when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 28.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.09% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $34,364 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $33,056 CAD average.
• It adds updated cabin tech and an improved sound system.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2024 if you want the better value and are comfortable with its core strengths: seven-seat flexibility, standard all-wheel drive, and a well-equipped cabin. If you are price-sensitive, the 2024 is the smarter path; if you want the newer cabin updates and do not mind paying more, the 2025 is the alternative to compare.
