Used 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe for Sale nearBelleville, ON

How much does the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe cost?

Prices have softened 12.23% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 484 listings available, which suggests a healthy amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.2/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Technology.

It stands out for its fully redesigned look, longer wheelbase, standard third-row seats, and a “terrace” approach to passenger and cargo space. That makes it especially appealing if you want a distinctive family SUV that still prioritises practicality.

The trade-offs are worth weighing: the third row is cramped, performance is pedestrian, and top trims can get expensive.

With 34.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive price.

Is the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Santa Fe is described as a substantial redesign that still keeps practicality front and centre, and Hyundai’s vehicles typically fare well in safety evaluations. Its standard all-wheel drive and broad equipment list also point to a well-developed package rather than a bare-bones setup.

The performance notes suggest a smooth, mostly stable driving experience, with few misses in acceleration, throttle response, or shifting. That said, the body roll through turns and the complexity of the new design mean you should pay close attention to how the vehicle feels on your usual roads.

If you’re buying used, the main long-term risk is choosing a trim that adds cost without solving the Santa Fe’s core compromises.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Preferred trim gets a strong safety and tech package, but higher trims add more premium equipment, including a 360-degree camera system, parking sensors, remote automatic parking, and a head-up display. If you want the best value, the Preferred trim with the Trend package is the standout because it adds desirable features without pushing you into the most expensive versions.
• Powertrain: In Canada, the hybrid powertrain is the entry-level choice on Preferred models and the gas-only 2.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder is reserved for upper trims. The hybrid is rated at 6.8 L/100 km in city driving, 6.9 on the highway, and 6.9 combined, while the gas engine is rated at 12.1 L/100 km city, 8.8 highway, and 10.6 combined.
• Safety package: The base Preferred trim includes a reversing camera, stop-and-go adaptive cruise control, forward collision-avoidance assist, intersection assist, pedestrian and cyclist detection, blind-spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert with automatic emergency braking, safe-exit assist, lane-keep assist, lane-following assist, driver-attention monitoring with hands-off alert, and a rear-occupant reminder system. Higher trims add more camera and parking tech, while the loaded versions add a widescreen head-up display and upgraded collision-avoidance systems.
• Infotainment: The cabin centres on a curved panoramic display, and wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto come standard across the lineup. You also get a 12-speaker Bose stereo, dynamic voice recognition, and six USB ports, while the Preferred trim uses a simpler 12.3-inch touchscreen.
• Fuel efficiency: The hybrid is the efficiency play, with ratings of 6.8 L/100 km city, 6.9 highway, and 6.9 combined. The gas engine is rated at 12.1 L/100 km city, 8.8 highway, and 10.6 combined, while the XRT is rated at 12.2/9.1/10.8.

Which 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe trim should I buy?

The 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe is offered in 4 trim levels: Preferred, Preferred with Trend package, Luxury, Ultimate Calligraphy.

Here's the short version:

• Preferred: This is the entry point, but it still brings a long list of standard safety and convenience features, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the redesigned Santa Fe.
• Preferred with Trend package: This is the best-value choice for most Canadian buyers because it adds the more fuel-efficient hybrid powertrain and a strong equipment upgrade, including 20-inch alloy wheels, leatherette upholstery, a dual-pane power sunroof, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a wireless charging pad, third-row USB ports, Hyundai Digital Key, and upgraded ultrasonic rear occupant alert.
• Luxury: This trim adds more premium hardware, including a 360-degree camera system, blind-spot view monitor, rain-sensing windshield wipers, parking sensors, reverse parking collision assist, and remote automatic parking. It suits you if you want a more upscale daily driver.
• Ultimate Calligraphy: This is the most luxurious version, with 21-inch wheels and a widescreen head-up display, plus upgraded blind-spot and forward collision avoidance systems. It’s the right pick if you want the most feature-rich Santa Fe and are comfortable paying for it.

The base Preferred trim already includes a strong safety suite, while higher trims add more advanced camera and parking features.

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 484 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.23% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $40,843 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe's resale value?

The current average of $40,843 CAD sits slightly below last year's $46,537 CAD.

That price decline suggests the Santa Fe has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy at today’s average, you’re starting from a lower base than last year’s market. That can help if you plan to keep the vehicle for a while and want to avoid paying peak pricing.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe safe?

The 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe has not yet been crash-tested by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) or National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard safety suite is extensive, starting with a reversing camera, stop-and-go adaptive cruise control, forward collision-avoidance assist, intersection assist, pedestrian and cyclist detection, blind-spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert with automatic emergency braking, safe-exit assist, lane-keep assist, lane-following assist, driver-attention monitoring with hands-off alert, and a rear-occupant reminder system.

Higher trims add a 360-degree camera system, blind-spot view monitor, parking sensors, reverse parking collision assist, remote automatic parking, and, on the top versions, a widescreen head-up display and upgraded blind-spot and forward collision avoidance systems. The first Hyundai vehicle with driver monitoring also adds another layer of oversight across the lineup.

Should I buy a 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.23% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The redesign brings bold styling, standard third-row seating, and a strong technology focus.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $29,696 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $40,843 CAD average.
• It delivers strong value with standard safety features and easy-to-use technology.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $43,896 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $40,843 CAD average.
• It adds even more interior space and keeps the bold, practical family-SUV formula.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest design and the strongest mix of style, space, and technology, the 2024 is the one to target. If your priority is lower purchase price, the 2023 is the smarter value play.
