Used 2024 Honda Passport for Sale near Ontario

How much does the 2024 Honda Passport cost?

Prices have softened 12.64% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 73 listings available, which suggests you have a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Honda Passport a good car?

Yes — you’re looking at a 5/5 user-rated SUV with an expert rating of 7.17/10. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

The 2024 Honda Passport takes a straightforward approach in the midsize SUV segment, focusing on a proven engine, easy-to-use technology, plenty of cargo space, a comfortable ride, and standard all-wheel drive. That makes it a strong fit if you want a practical crossover SUV that prioritises everyday usability over flashy styling or oversized screens.

The trade-offs are clear: it is not especially fuel efficient, and its pricing starts higher than some rivals. Even so, the market still shows 20.5% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2024 Honda Passport reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Passport’s appeal is built around a proven 3.5-litre V6, a nine-speed automatic transmission, and a simple, familiar layout that avoids unnecessary complexity. Honda also leans into practical, easy-to-use technology and a cabin designed for everyday utility, which supports confidence for long-term ownership.

Its standard equipment and straightforward mechanical setup should help keep ownership predictable, but used buyers should still pay close attention to maintenance history and overall condition, especially given the model’s higher starting price and the fact that it is not especially fuel efficient.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Honda Passport?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Passport keeps things simple with three trims in Canada: Sport, TrailSport, and Black Edition. Every trim gets a power moonroof, identical touchscreens, and all-wheel drive, so the base model is already well equipped. The TrailSport adds a more rugged look with all-terrain tyres, roof rails, and LED fog lights, while the Black Edition brings a more upscale audio setup and native navigation.
• Powertrain: Every 2024 Passport uses a naturally aspirated 3.5-litre V6 with 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. It delivers strong acceleration for its size, but fuel economy is not a highlight, with ratings of 12.5 L/100 km in the city, 9.8 on the highway, and 11.3 combined.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, cross-traffic monitoring, and adaptive cruise control. That broad standard suite is a major plus, especially if you are comparing lower trims.
• Infotainment: You get an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth connectivity, and a wireless charging pad. The screen is smaller than many rivals’, and native navigation is included on the Black Edition trim only in Canada.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada rates the Passport at 12.5 L/100 km in the city, 9.8 on the highway, and 11.3 combined.

Which 2024 Honda Passport trim should I buy?

The 2024 Honda Passport is offered in 3 trim levels: Sport, TrailSport, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the most straightforward choice if you want the Passport’s core strengths without paying for extra appearance or equipment upgrades. You still get standard all-wheel drive, a power moonroof, and the same 8-inch touchscreen as the other trims, so it covers the essentials well.
• TrailSport: This is the best-value trim if you want the Passport’s more adventurous character. It adds all-terrain tyres, off-road-tuned suspension, roof rails, and LED fog lights, while keeping the same practical cabin layout and standard AWD. It suits you best if you want the rugged look and extra capability without moving to the top trim.
• Black Edition: This is the most upscale version, with native navigation in Canada and a 10-speaker audio system. Choose it if you want the most premium-feeling Passport and value those extra tech and audio upgrades.

Honda’s standard safety package is included across the range, so you do not need to move up a trim to get the core driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Honda Passport?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 20.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 73 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.64% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $45,316 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Honda Passport's resale value?

The current average of $45,635 CAD sits slightly below last year's $52,237 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Passport has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may face a softer market than they did a year ago. If you buy at today’s lower average, you may have less downside risk than someone who bought when prices were higher. The Passport’s practical strengths should help support demand, but resale will still depend on condition, mileage, and trim.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Honda Passport safe?

The 2024 Honda Passport earns an Acceptable rating in the passenger-side small overlap crash test from IIHS and a Marginal rating in the updated side-impact crash tests. It also earns five-star ratings overall from NHTSA, with four-star ratings in frontal crash and rollover tests.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda equips every Passport with forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, cross-traffic monitoring, and adaptive cruise control as standard equipment. That is a strong standard safety list, especially for families and daily commuting.

The main caveat is that the Passport’s crash-test results are not class-leading, so safety-conscious used buyers should weigh the comprehensive active-safety equipment against those weaker test outcomes.

Should I buy a 2024 Honda Passport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 20.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.64% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 model year stands out for its refreshed-but-subtle update, proven V6 power, and practical, easy-to-use approach.

The bottom line: If you want a used Passport that leans into space, comfort, standard AWD, and a proven powertrain, the 2024 is the right year to target. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby model years and focus on whichever one gives you the best condition and equipment for the money.
