Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Honda Passport?

The market looks moderately favourable if you are a selective buyer who can move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 23.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 99 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.73% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $31,809 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Honda Passport's resale value?

The current average of $31,809 CAD sits slightly below last year's $34,475 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more attractive point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays steady. For a seller, the current trend suggests you should expect value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment rather than broad market appreciation. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Honda Passport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 23.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.73% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $37,695 CAD, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $31,809 CAD average.
• It adds a light restyle and the TrailSport trim name.

The bottom line: The 2021 is the better primary pick if you want the strongest value and a well-liked ownership experience. If you are price-sensitive, the 2021 gives you the better entry point; if you want the newer look and can stretch your budget, the 2022 is the alternative to consider.
