Used 2024 Honda Passport for Sale near Alberta

How much does the 2024 Honda Passport cost?

Prices have softened 6.62% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 72 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Honda Passport a good car?

Yes — you’re looking at a 5/5 user-rated SUV with an expert rating of 7.2/10. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

The 2024 Honda Passport takes a restrained, practical approach in a segment where many rivals lean on flashier styling or technology. It focuses on a proven engine, easy-to-use technology, and enough capability to handle all-weather driving without overcomplicating the formula.

The main trade-offs are that it is not very fuel efficient and its pricing starts higher than the competition. Even so, if you want a spacious, comfortable midsize SUV with standard all-wheel drive and a straightforward layout, it fits that use case well.

31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2024 Honda Passport reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Honda Passport is described as practical, spacious, safe, and reliable, and its proven 3.5-litre V6 is a long-running piece of engineering. Honda’s straightforward formula also helps keep the vehicle easy to live with, especially if you value familiar controls and a simple ownership experience.

Its standard equipment and uncomplicated powertrain point to a low-drama ownership profile, but the higher fuel use means running costs can still add up over time for used buyers.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Honda Passport?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Passport comes in Sport, TrailSport, and Black Edition. Every trim includes all-wheel drive, a power moonroof, and identical touchscreens, so the base model does not miss out on the core hardware. The TrailSport adds a more rugged look and genuine all-terrain tyres, while the Black Edition brings the most upscale presentation.
• Powertrain: Every 2024 Passport uses a naturally aspirated 3.5-litre V6 with 280 horsepower and a nine-speed automatic transmission. It is tuned for smooth, unobtrusive operation rather than maximum efficiency, and fuel economy is a weak point.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, cross-traffic monitoring, and adaptive cruise control. That broad standard suite is a major strength across the lineup.
• Infotainment: The Passport uses an 8-inch touchscreen, which is smaller than many rivals. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with Bluetooth connectivity and a wireless charging pad. Native navigation is included on the Black Edition trim only in Canada.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada rates it at 12.5 L/100 km in the city, 9.8 L/100 km on the highway, and 11.3 L/100 km combined.

Which 2024 Honda Passport trim should I buy?

The 2024 Honda Passport is offered in 3 trim levels: Sport, TrailSport, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the simplest path into the Passport, but it still gets the core value items you care about, including all-wheel drive, a power moonroof, and the same touchscreen setup as the other trims. If you want the Passport’s space and capability without paying for extra appearance or off-road touches, this is the trim to start with.
• TrailSport: This is the best-value trim if you want the Passport’s more adventurous character. It adds all-terrain tyres, off-road-tuned suspension, roof rails, LED fog lights, and a more rugged interior treatment, while keeping the Passport’s practical strengths intact.
• Black Edition: This is the most upscale choice, with the available 10-speaker audio system and native navigation in Canada. It makes sense if you want the most premium presentation and the richest equipment list.

Honda’s standard safety package is strong across the lineup, so you do not need to move up a trim just to get the core driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Honda Passport?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 72 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.62% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $45,256 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Honda Passport's resale value?

The current average of $47,243 CAD sits slightly below last year's $50,590 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Passport is currently more accessible for used buyers than it was a year ago. For a future seller, that can mean less immediate upside if you buy at today’s average and try to resell soon after.

At the same time, the Passport’s practical layout, standard all-wheel drive, and strong owner satisfaction should help keep demand steady. If you buy well and keep the vehicle in good condition, those traits can support resale value over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Honda Passport safe?

The 2024 Honda Passport earns an Acceptable rating in the passenger-side small overlap crash test from IIHS and a Marginal rating in the updated side-impact crash tests, and it was left off the IIHS Top Safety Picks list. It also earns five-star ratings overall from NHTSA, with four-star ratings in frontal and rollover crash tests.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, cross-traffic monitoring, and adaptive cruise control. That is a comprehensive standard safety package, especially for a two-row SUV.

The main caveat is that the crash-test results are not class-leading, so if top-tier test performance is your priority, you should weigh that carefully against the Passport’s strong standard safety equipment.

Should I buy a 2024 Honda Passport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.62% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 refresh keeps the Passport focused on a proven engine, easy-to-use technology, and practical capability without adding unnecessary complexity.

The bottom line: If you want the Passport’s straightforward formula and you can find a well-priced example, the 2024 is the one to target. If you are especially price-sensitive, it is worth comparing nearby model years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2024 refresh and current market softness.
