Used 2024 Honda Passport for Sale nearEdmonton, AB

How much does the 2024 Honda Passport cost?

Prices have softened 13.55% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 69 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of choice in the market.

Is the 2024 Honda Passport a good car?

Yes — you’re looking at a 5/5 user-rated SUV with an expert rating of 7.17/10. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

The Passport’s appeal is straightforward: it focuses on a proven engine, easy-to-use technology, plenty of cargo space, a comfortable ride, and standard all-wheel drive. That makes it a strong fit if you want a practical crossover SUV that prioritises everyday usefulness over flashy design or oversized screens.

The trade-offs are clear too. It is not especially fuel efficient, and its pricing starts higher than some rivals, so it makes less sense if your top priorities are maximum efficiency or the lowest entry price.

With 21.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is some room to find a worthwhile example if you shop carefully.

Is the 2024 Honda Passport reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Passport’s reliability case is built around its proven 3.5-litre V6, conventional nine-speed automatic transmission, and simple, familiar layout. Honda’s approach here is deliberately low-drama, which is often a good sign if you want a used SUV that avoids complicated powertrain choices and keeps ownership straightforward.

Its standard equipment and easy-to-use controls also support the sense that this is a vehicle designed for dependable daily use rather than novelty. The performance notes point to an unobtrusive drivetrain and balanced steering, both of which suggest a mature, well-sorted package.

If you’re buying used, the main long-term ownership risk is that the Passport’s higher fuel use and premium-ish pricing can make it less economical to live with than some rivals.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Honda Passport?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Passport is offered in three trims in Canada: Sport, TrailSport, and Black Edition. Even the entry trim gets all-wheel drive, a power moonroof, and the same touchscreen setup as the others, so the base model does not feel stripped down. The TrailSport adds the most rugged look and hardware, while the Black Edition brings the most upscale presentation.
• Powertrain: Every 2024 Passport uses a naturally aspirated 3.5-litre V6 with 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. It is described as a well-known piece of engineering with strong power, but fuel economy is not a strength.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard, and it includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, cross-traffic monitoring, and adaptive cruise control. That broad standard suite is a major plus, especially because there are no trim-level gaps in these core driver-assistance features.
• Infotainment: You get an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth connectivity, and a wireless charging pad. The screen is smaller than many rivals’, but the system is responsive and easy to use. Native navigation is included on the Black Edition trim only in Canada.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada rates the Passport at 12.5 L/100 km in the city, 9.8 L/100 km on the highway, and 11.3 L/100 km combined.

Which 2024 Honda Passport trim should I buy?

The 2024 Honda Passport is offered in 3 trim levels: Sport, TrailSport, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the trim to start with if you want the Passport’s core strengths without paying extra for appearance or off-road extras. You still get standard AWD, the same touchscreen setup as the higher trims, and the same practical, roomy character that defines the model.
• TrailSport: This is the best-value trim if you want the Passport’s more adventurous side. It adds genuine all-terrain tyres, an off-road-tuned suspension, wider tracks, and rugged styling details, while still keeping the Passport’s everyday comfort and usability intact.
• Black Edition: Choose this if you want the most upscale Passport. It adds the most premium presentation, including the upgraded 10-speaker audio system and native navigation in Canada, making it the trim for shoppers who want the most equipment and the richest feel.

Honda’s standard safety package is generous across the range, so you do not need to move up a trim just to get the core driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Honda Passport?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some confidence if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 21.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 69 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.55% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $45,113 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Honda Passport's resale value?

The current average of $45,113 CAD sits slightly below last year's $52,183 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Passport has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to be realistic about pricing if they want to move the vehicle quickly. A softer market can help you buy well now, but it can also limit how aggressively you can price the vehicle later.

Because the Passport is still positioned as a practical, spacious SUV with standard AWD and strong everyday appeal, well-kept examples should continue to attract interest. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Honda Passport safe?

The 2024 Honda Passport earns an Acceptable rating in the passenger-side small overlap crash test and a Marginal rating in the updated side-impact crash tests from IIHS. The NHTSA gives it five-star ratings overall, with four-star ratings in frontal crash and rollover tests.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda equips every Passport with forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, cross-traffic monitoring, and adaptive cruise control as standard equipment. That is a strong standard safety list, especially for a two-row SUV aimed at family use.

The main caveat is that its crash-test results are not class-leading, so if top-tier test performance is your priority, you should weigh that carefully against the Passport’s otherwise comprehensive active-safety equipment.

Should I buy a 2024 Honda Passport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 21.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.55% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 Passport is refreshed this year, but it still keeps the simple, proven formula of a V6 engine, easy-to-use technology, standard AWD, and a practical, spacious cabin.

The bottom line: If you want the newest version of the Passport’s proven formula, the 2024 model is the one to target. It gives you the refreshed look and the same core strengths without changing the SUV’s straightforward character. If your main goal is to minimise purchase price, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2024 is the better pick if you want the latest refresh and a market that has already softened.
