Used 2024 Honda Passport for Sale nearCalgary, AB

How much does the 2024 Honda Passport cost?

Prices have softened 10.84% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 65 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2024 Honda Passport a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Honda Passport earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.17/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

It takes a restrained approach in a crowded midsize SUV segment, leaning on a proven engine and easy-to-use technology instead of flashy styling or oversized screens. That makes it a straightforward choice if you want a practical, spacious, comfortable crossover with standard all-wheel drive and useful capability for all-weather driving.

The main trade-offs are that it is not very fuel efficient and its pricing starts higher than the competition. Even so, 26.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Honda Passport reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Passport’s appeal is built around a proven engine, simple controls, and a familiar layout, which all support confidence in day-to-day ownership. The expert review also describes it as practical and reliable, with a straightforward design that avoids unnecessary complexity.

Its naturally aspirated V6 and nine-speed automatic are presented as well-known, established pieces of engineering, and the review notes that the drivetrain behaves smoothly and unobtrusively. If you plan to keep one used, the main long-term ownership risk is that its higher fuel use and higher starting price can make it costlier to live with than some rivals.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Honda Passport?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Passport comes in Sport, TrailSport, and Black Edition. Every trim gets all-wheel drive, a power moonroof, and identical touchscreens, so the base trim does not force you into a stripped-down setup. The TrailSport adds the most rugged look and feel, while the Black Edition brings the most upscale presentation.
• Powertrain: Every 2024 Passport uses a naturally aspirated 3.5-litre V6 with 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic. It is tuned for smooth, strong everyday acceleration rather than fuel-saving efficiency.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, cross-traffic monitoring, and adaptive cruise control. That means you do not need to move up the trim ladder for the core driver-assistance suite.
• Infotainment: You get an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth connectivity, and a wireless charging pad. The Black Edition adds a native navigation system and a 10-speaker audio system, while lower trims use a seven-speaker setup.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada rates it at 12.5 L/100 km in the city, 9.8 L/100 km on the highway, and 11.3 L/100 km combined.

Which 2024 Honda Passport trim should I buy?

The 2024 Honda Passport is offered in 3 trim levels: Sport, TrailSport, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the trim to start with if you want the Passport’s core strengths without paying for extras you may not need. You still get all-wheel drive, the power moonroof, the 8-inch touchscreen, and the full Honda Sensing safety suite, so it covers the essentials well.
• TrailSport: This is the best-value trim if you want the Passport’s more adventurous character. It adds all-terrain tyres, off-road-tuned suspension, roof rails, LED fog lights, and a more rugged interior treatment, while keeping the same standard safety and convenience equipment.
• Black Edition: Choose this if you want the most upscale Passport. It adds the native navigation system and the 10-speaker audio system, making it the most feature-rich choice for buyers who care most about tech and presentation.

Honda Sensing is standard across the lineup, so you do not need to step up for the core safety package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Honda Passport?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 26.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 65 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.84% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $45,646 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Honda Passport's resale value?

The current average of $45,951 CAD sits slightly below last year's $51,540 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Passport has become more approachable for used buyers, which can help keep demand steady in the near term. For a future seller, the softer market means you may need to price competitively if you want to move the vehicle quickly.

The Passport’s practical layout, standard all-wheel drive, and strong owner satisfaction should help support interest over time. Even so, resale value will still depend on how well your vehicle is equipped, maintained, and priced relative to similar listings.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Honda Passport safe?

The 2024 Honda Passport earns an Acceptable rating in the passenger-side small overlap crash test from IIHS and a Marginal rating in the updated side-impact crash tests. It also earns five-star ratings overall from NHTSA, with four-star ratings in frontal crash and rollover tests.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, cross-traffic monitoring, and adaptive cruise control. That is a comprehensive standard safety package, even if the crash-test results are not class-leading.

Should I buy a 2024 Honda Passport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 26.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.84% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 refresh keeps the Passport focused on a proven engine, easy-to-use technology, and practical capability rather than flashy changes.

The bottom line: If you want a used Passport with familiar controls, standard all-wheel drive, and a strong mix of space and comfort, the 2024 is the right year to target. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby model year may be worth considering, but the 2024’s softer pricing makes it the more appealing choice for buyers who want the refreshed version without paying peak-market money.
