Is the 2024 Honda Odyssey a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Honda Odyssey earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It is built around practicality, with a roomy and flexible cabin, family-friendly equipment, and a long-established reputation for comfort and durability. If you want a minivan that prioritises everyday usefulness over flash, this model year fits that brief well. Is the 2024 Honda Odyssey reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Odyssey’s appeal is reinforced by its emphasis on structure and refinement, plus a straightforward front-wheel-drive layout and a proven V6 setup. That said, early examples of this generation drew complaints for electrical glitches, infotainment issues, and transmission problems, so a careful test drive and maintenance history still matter. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure you avoid a poorly maintained example.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Honda Odyssey?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on strong listings.

• Deal availability: 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 207 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.83% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $47,577 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $47,577 CAD sits slightly below last year's $52,184 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable point, but it also means future resale values may face some pressure if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, buying closer to the lower end of the range gives you more room to preserve equity. The Odyssey’s strong family appeal should still help it remain relevant with used shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.83% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $50,659 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $47,577 CAD average.
• It adds updated tech and a new rear-seat entertainment system.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the better value if you want the strongest mix of price and proven family usefulness. If you want newer tech and are willing to pay more, the 2025 is the secondary path to consider.
