Used 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid for Sale nearOttawa, ON

How much does the 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid cost?

Prices have softened 8.95% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 574 listings available, which suggests healthy inventory for shoppers comparing used examples.

Is the 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid a good car?

Generally — the 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid earns 4.4/5 from owners and a 7/10 expert rating, which points to a strong overall ownership experience. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its comfortable ride, roomy cabin, and practical cargo space, and many also like the tech features and the value versus the gas-only version. The trade-offs are familiar: pricing can feel high, the fuel economy does not always live up to hybrid expectations, and some shoppers dislike the lack of conversational voice recognition.

That makes it a good fit if you want a comfortable, safety-focused compact crossover with everyday usefulness rather than something sporty or especially exciting. With 31.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is at least some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid reliable?

Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a vehicle you can count on for comfort, practicality, and a trouble-free-feeling daily drive. The expert assessment reinforces that dependability with praise for its compliant ride, predictable handling, and easy-to-live-with hybrid operation.

Honda also includes a standard maintenance perk in the ownership package for some buyers, which can help reduce early ownership friction.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is not outright durability so much as whether the higher purchase price and fuel savings make sense for your driving habits.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The EX-L Hybrid brings the electrified powertrain to a lower starting point, while the Touring Hybrid adds a more upscale cabin and extra equipment. The base hybrid setup is already well equipped, but the Touring’s leather seating, orange contrast stitching, and premium audio make it the more polished choice if you want the nicest version.
• Powertrain: The hybrid uses a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with two electric motors and delivers 204 horsepower to all four wheels. It is described as transparent and easy to drive, but you should pay attention to the low-speed electric warning noise and the engine droning that can show up on hills.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist, a rear seat reminder, automatic high beams, and a driver monitoring system. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is standard on the Hybrid trims, and front and rear parking sensors are also included.
• Infotainment: You get a 9-inch infotainment display, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and wireless smartphone charging. Touring trim adds navigation and a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system. The voice recognition system is basic, so test it before you buy.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada estimates 6.4 L/100 km in combined driving, but the expert test vehicle returned 8.7 L/100 km on a mountainous loop. That gap is worth keeping in mind if fuel savings are a priority.

Which 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid trim should I buy?

The 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid is offered in 2 trim levels: EX-L Hybrid and Touring Hybrid.

Here's the short version:

• EX-L Hybrid: This is the best-value choice if you want the hybrid powertrain at the lower entry point. It gives you the standard all-wheel-drive hybrid setup and the core comfort, safety, and tech features without paying for the Touring’s extras.
• Touring Hybrid: Choose this if you want the most complete version of the CR-V Hybrid. It adds navigation, the 12-speaker Bose audio system, leather seating, and the most upscale cabin presentation in the lineup.

Honda Sensing is standard, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is included on the Hybrid trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully and move quickly on well-priced examples.

• Deal availability: 31.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 574 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.95% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $39,579 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid's resale value?

The current average of $39,653 CAD sits slightly below last year's $43,551 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy more selectively today, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive market if prices continue to ease. If you buy near the low end of the range, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation exposure later. The CR-V Hybrid’s broad appeal should still support demand, especially among shoppers who value comfort and practicality.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid safe?

The 2024 CR-V Hybrid earns a Top Safety Pick award from the IIHS, but it does not achieve the higher Top Safety Pick+ result because of the institute’s updated moderate overlap front test.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard, and the feature list is extensive: forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist, a rear seat reminder, automatic high beams, and a driver monitoring system. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is standard on the Hybrid trims, and front and rear parking sensors are included as well.

The main caveat is the poor IIHS result in the updated moderate overlap front test, which is the reason the CR-V Hybrid falls short of the top award level.

Should I buy a 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 31.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.95% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 adds the EX-L Hybrid, which lowers the entry point for the hybrid powertrain in Canada.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $37,834 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $39,653 CAD average.
• It introduced the CR-V Hybrid to Canada with a single Hybrid Touring trim and strong practicality.

The bottom line: If you want the better shopping environment and the lower-priced hybrid entry point, the 2024 is the smarter default. If your priority is simply spending less up front and you are comfortable with the earlier single-trim setup, the 2023 remains worth a look.
