How much does the 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid cost?

There are 531 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid a good car?

Generally — 4.43/5 from owners, and the expert rating is 7.00/10. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Safety.

Drivers consistently praise the CR-V Hybrid for its comfortable ride, roomy cabin, and strong fuel-efficiency impression compared with the gas-only version. The user feedback also points to good tech features and solid value, especially when you compare it with the non-hybrid model.

The trade-offs are clear: it is not especially exciting to drive, and the pricing can feel steep. The expert review also calls out disappointing fuel economy for a hybrid and a lack of conversational voice recognition.

For you, that means the CR-V Hybrid makes the most sense if you want a practical, comfort-first compact SUV rather than something sporty. It is especially appealing if passenger space, cargo room, and safety matter more than driving thrills.

With 32.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid reliable?

Owners rate it 4.43/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner summary points to a dependable, trouble-free feel, with drivers highlighting comfort and efficiency as reasons they would count on it day to day. The expert review also describes it as easy to drive and well put together, which supports the impression of a vehicle built for long-term use.

Honda’s hybrid system is presented as transparent in operation, and the overall package is framed as practical and durable rather than complicated for the sake of it. The main ownership risk for used buyers is that a premium-priced hybrid with modest real-world efficiency gains may feel less rewarding if you are expecting standout savings.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The EX-L Hybrid brings the electrified powertrain to a lower starting point, while the Touring Hybrid adds more premium cabin details and extra equipment. The base hybrid setup is still practical, but the higher trim is where the feature set feels more complete.
• Powertrain: The hybrid uses a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with two electric motors and delivers 204 horsepower to all four wheels. It is described as smooth and transparent, though you may notice low-speed electric warning noise and engine droning on hills.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist, a rear seat reminder, automatic high beams, and a driver monitoring system. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is standard on the Hybrid trims, while front and rear parking sensors are added on both hybrids and low-speed automatic braking control is reserved for the Touring trim.
• Infotainment: You get a 9-inch infotainment display, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and wireless smartphone charging. Touring trim adds navigation and a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada estimates 6.4 L/100 km combined, but the expert test vehicle returned 8.7 L/100 km on a mountainous loop.

Which 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid trim should I buy?

The 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid is offered in 2 trim levels: EX-L Hybrid and Touring Hybrid.

Here's the short version:

• EX-L Hybrid: This is the best-value choice if you want the hybrid powertrain at the lower entry point. It gives you the standard all-wheel-drive hybrid setup and the core comfort and safety advantages without stepping all the way up to the top trim.
• Touring Hybrid: Choose this if you want the most complete version of the CR-V Hybrid. It adds navigation, the 12-speaker Bose audio system, and low-speed automatic braking control, making it the better pick if you want the fullest feature set.

Honda Sensing is standard across the lineup, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is included on the Hybrid trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 531 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.56% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $39,648 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid's resale value?

The current average of $39,650 CAD sits slightly below last year's $44,330 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means sellers may need to price carefully to stay competitive. If you plan to resell later, the current trend shows that the model has already absorbed a meaningful drop, which can limit upside if prices keep easing.

On the other hand, the CR-V Hybrid’s strong reputation for comfort, practicality, and safety should help it remain appealing to used shoppers. That kind of broad demand can support resale value even when the market cools.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.43/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid safe?

The 2024 CR-V Hybrid earns a Top Safety Pick award from IIHS, but it does not achieve the higher Top Safety Pick+ result because of a poor rating in the updated moderate overlap front test.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist, a rear seat reminder, automatic high beams, and a driver monitoring system. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is standard on the Hybrid trims, and front and rear parking sensors are included on both hybrids.

The main caveat is that the updated IIHS front-crash result is weaker than you might expect from a vehicle with otherwise strong safety credentials. Even so, the overall safety package remains one of the CR-V Hybrid’s biggest strengths.

Should I buy a 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.56% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.43/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• This year adds the EX-L Hybrid trim, which lowers the entry point for the hybrid powertrain.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $37,819 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $39,650 CAD average.
• It introduced the CR-V Hybrid to Canada and established the model’s practical, efficient formula.

The bottom line: If you want the better shopping conditions and the broader trim choice, the 2024 is the stronger all-around pick. If your priority is paying less up front and you are comfortable with a single-trim setup, the 2023 remains the value-focused alternative.
