How much does the 2024 Ford F-150 cost?

Prices have softened 10.63% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,838 listings available, which suggests you have a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Ford F-150 a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Ford F-150 earns a 4.57/5 user rating and an 8.00/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Form and function and Technology.

Owners consistently praise the powerful engine choices, smooth driving experience, and strong towing capability. They also like the range of features available without having to move all the way to the highest trims.

On the downside, the cabin storage in the centre console draws criticism, and some owners question value for money given the pricing. The overview also points to a truck that suits everything from school runs to hauling supplies and towing toys, so it works best if you want one vehicle that can cover both daily use and heavy-duty chores.

With 36.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still enough market activity to give you some negotiating room.

Is the 2024 Ford F-150 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.57/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck that feels dependable in day-to-day use, with praise for its smooth driving experience and towing confidence. That kind of feedback matters if you want a used full-size truck you can count on over the long term.

The expert assessment also supports that impression, noting the F-150’s strong capability and well-sorted powertrain choices. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is less about basic durability and more about choosing a well-equipped example that fits your needs and budget.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Ford F-150?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base XL is pretty spartan, while higher trims add more comfort and luxury. You should pay close attention to whether the truck has the features you want, because the gap between entry-level and upper trims is substantial.
• Powertrain: You get a turbocharged 2.7-litre EcoBoost V6, a 3.5-litre turbo V6 hybrid with 430 horsepower and 570 pound-feet of torque, a 5.0-litre V8 in the Tremor, and a 5.2-litre supercharged V8 in the Raptor R. The hybrid is the standout for buyers who want strong output and better efficiency.
• Safety package: Every truck comes with Ford CoPilot 360, which includes automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, and cross traffic alert. A 360-degree camera is recommended on higher trims, and BlueCruise is available on Tremor and up trims.
• Infotainment: All models get a 12-inch touchscreen with SYNC 4, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, a 5G LTE hotspot, and a 12-inch digital gauge cluster. The system is easy to learn and use.
• Fuel efficiency: The hybrid is rated at 11.4 L/100 km in the city, 10.1 on the highway, and 10.8 combined. The Raptor R is rated at 19.7 L/100 km combined.

Which 2024 Ford F-150 trim should I buy?

The 2024 Ford F-150 is offered in 8 trim levels: XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Tremor, Raptor R, and Platinum Plus.

Here's the short version:

• XL: This is the most affordable way into the lineup, but it is also the most basic. Choose it if you want the F-150’s core capability and do not mind a stripped-back feature set.
• XLT: This is the best-value trim for many buyers because it opens the door to more comfort and equipment without pushing you into luxury-truck pricing. It is also one of the trims that can be paired with the hybrid powertrain.
• Lariat: This is a strong step up if you want more convenience and a more polished feel. It also supports the hybrid powertrain and gets some of the nicer interior touches mentioned in the review.
• King Ranch: This is the luxury-leaning choice, with heated and ventilated front leather seats, heated rear seats, wood trim, and ambient lighting. It suits you if comfort matters as much as capability.
• Platinum: This is another upscale pick, and it can also be paired with the hybrid powertrain. It is a good fit if you want a premium-feeling truck without going all the way to the most specialised models.
• Tremor: This is the off-road-focused choice, with a standard 5.0-litre V8, 33-inch tyres, a 2.5-centimetre lift, off-road-tuned shocks and springs, beefy control arms, and an electronic locking rear differential.
• Raptor R: This is the extreme performance off-road model, with a 5.2-litre supercharged V8, 720 horsepower, 640 pound-feet of torque, and massive 37-inch tyres.
• Platinum Plus: This trim gets the Smoked Truffle interior with Dark Smoked Truffle accents, making it the most upscale-feeling version mentioned in the review.

Ford CoPilot 360 is standard, but BlueCruise is only available on Tremor and higher trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Ford F-150?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 36.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,838 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.63% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $55,276 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Ford F-150's resale value?

The current average of $55,276 CAD sits slightly below last year's $61,849 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more affordably now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at today’s average, you are starting from a lower baseline than last year’s shoppers.

For a future seller, that means condition, trim, and equipment will matter even more when it comes time to list. Well-equipped trucks with the right powertrain and desirable features should hold buyer interest better than bare-bones examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.57/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Ford F-150 safe?

The 2024 Ford F-150 earns five-star ratings overall from NHTSA, with five-star side-crash and frontal-crash ratings and four-star rollover ratings. The IIHS gave the SuperCrew Good ratings for driver- and passenger-side crashworthiness, but front crash testing received a Poor rating for possible injuries to rear-seat passengers.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2024 F-150 comes with Ford CoPilot 360, which includes automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, and cross traffic alert. You can also add Exit Warning, and a 360-degree camera is recommended on higher trims because the truck is large and visibility matters.

BlueCruise is available on Tremor and higher trims, and for 2024 it adds lane-change assist and lane-repositioning. The main caveat is that some advanced safety features are not standard, so you may need to move up the trim ladder to get the full suite you want.

Should I buy a 2024 Ford F-150 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 36.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.63% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.57/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds updated BlueCruise, a standard 12-inch touchscreen, and thoughtful interior and exterior tweaks.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $50,147 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $55,276 CAD average.
• It adds the Raptor R debut and the XLT Heritage Edition.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $61,141 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $55,276 CAD average.
• It expands the lineup with more driver-assistance tech and a new Platinum Plus package.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of updated tech, strong capability, and a softer used-market price, the 2024 is the smart default. If your priority is saving money, the 2023 is the better value path; if you want the newest features and broader lineup depth, the 2025 is the upgrade to consider.
