Is the 2022 Ford F-150 a good car?

Yes — the 4.88/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the smooth ride, advanced technology, and powerful performance, and many appreciate the wide range of options and features available in higher trims. That fits a truck aimed at buyers who want a full-size pickup with broad capability, modern cabin tech, and plenty of configuration choices. With 31.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop carefully.

Is the 2022 Ford F-150 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.88/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a truck that many people find dependable and trouble-free in day-to-day use, especially when it comes to comfort and performance over time. That said, used buyers should still pay close attention to service history and any signs of past issues, since long-term ownership risk can rise if maintenance has been inconsistent.

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,307 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.51% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $42,057 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Ford F-150's resale value?

The current average of $42,057 CAD sits slightly below last year's $46,475 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may be more sensitive to condition, mileage, and trim choice than it would be in a rising market. If you keep the truck well maintained and choose a desirable configuration, you should be better positioned when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.88/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Ford F-150 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.51% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.88/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $36,977 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $42,057 CAD average.
• It adds a redesigned cabin with Sync 4 and an available hybrid powertrain.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $50,147 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $42,057 CAD average.
• It adds the Raptor R and an XLT Heritage Edition.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around pick if you want a strong mix of value, owner satisfaction, and current-market availability. If your priority is spending less, the 2021 is the smarter path; if you want newer special editions and are willing to pay more, the 2023 is the upgrade route.
