Is the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD a good car?

Yes — the 4.5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction for this model year. The 2024 Silverado 3500HD is built around serious capability rather than car-like manners, with towing and payload figures that put it firmly in work-truck territory. If you need a truck for hauling, trailering, or other demanding jobs, its purpose-built setup is the main reason to consider it. The market also shows 36.8% good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Silverado 3500HD is designed around heavy-duty use, with a strong powertrain lineup and trailering-focused hardware that should suit buyers who plan to work the truck hard. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the truck’s core mission and more about making sure any example you consider has been maintained properly for demanding towing and hauling duty.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 174 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.29% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $71,849 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD's resale value?

The current average of $73,775 CAD sits slightly below last year's $80,441 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has eased, which can help you buy more affordably now but may also mean future resale gains are more limited if prices stay soft. For a future seller, the current trend points to a truck that may hold value best when it is well equipped and clearly maintained. Strong demand for heavy-duty capability should still support interest, especially among buyers who need a serious work truck.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.29% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest balance of current pricing, inventory, and owner satisfaction, the 2024 is the primary year to target. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may still make sense, but the 2024 gives you a solid mix of market softness and available listings to work with.
