How much does the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD cost?

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD a good car?

Yes — the 4.5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction for this heavy-duty pickup. The 2024 Silverado 3500HD is built around serious capability rather than car-like manners, with aggressive styling, major towing and payload numbers, and a broad set of trailering technologies that make it well suited to buyers who need a purpose-built work truck. It also offers multiple cab and bed combinations, dual-rear-wheel availability, and useful in-cabin tech such as Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, a Wi-Fi hotspot, SiriusXM satellite radio, and detailed camera views. 39.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent amount of market choice.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Silverado 3500HD is presented as a truck designed for hard use, with a heavy-duty chassis, serious towing hardware, and powertrain choices built around work rather than comfort. Its appeal comes from capability and utility, including the available Duramax turbodiesel, integrated Power Take-Off, and trailering-focused technology. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a truck this specialised may have been worked hard, so condition and maintenance history matter a lot.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 39.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 173 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.44% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $71,856 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD's resale value?

The current average of $73,526 CAD sits slightly below last year's $80,305 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the truck more attractive to you as a buyer today, but it also means a future seller may need to price more competitively to stand out. Because the current average is still within the year-round range, the model retains meaningful market support rather than showing a steep drop-off. If demand stays tied to capability-focused buyers, resale should remain steadier than for more niche vehicles.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 39.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.44% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a heavy-duty truck with strong capability, broad trailering tech, and a market that has softened enough to create some negotiating room, the 2024 is the primary year to target. If your priority is stretching your budget further, you can also compare nearby years for lower asking prices, but the 2024 offers a good balance of capability and current market value.
