What is the 2023 Toyota Highlander's resale value?

The current average of $43,489 CAD sits slightly below last year's $48,688 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Highlander more attractive to used buyers today. For a future seller, that also means resale performance may depend more on condition, mileage, and trim than on broad market momentum alone. Because demand remains supported by the model’s practical reputation, well-kept examples should still hold appeal.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Toyota Highlander or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 30.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.68% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $41,379 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $43,489 CAD average.
• It focuses on family basics with versatile space and a polished, practical feel.

The bottom line: Choose the 2023 if you want the newer market pricing, strong satisfaction, and a well-rounded family SUV with broad appeal. Consider the 2022 if your priority is saving money upfront and you’re comfortable giving up some of the newer-year pricing context.
