Used 2023 Lexus RX Hybrid for Sale nearEdmonton, AB

How much does the 2023 Lexus RX Hybrid cost?

Prices have softened 8.20% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 124 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Lexus RX Hybrid a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Lexus RX Hybrid earns a 4.7/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Performance, Cost effectiveness, and Safety.

The RX Hybrid stands out because Lexus gives you a broader hybrid range than a single efficiency-focused version, and the lineup is aimed at shoppers who want either better efficiency or a more engaging drive without giving up an upscale feel. The RX 350h trims are fuel efficient, while the RX 500h trims are fun to drive and the technology is impressive.

The trade-offs are clear: the RX 500h delivers poor fuel economy, cargo space is limited, and the head-up display integration is poor.

With 28.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Lexus RX Hybrid reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Lexus positions the RX Hybrid as a refined, upscale crossover with a hybrid range that includes efficiency-focused and performance-oriented options. The hybrid powertrains are described as delivering quiet operation much of the time, with instant electric motor torque and secure-feeling road manners in the RX 350h.

The RX 350h’s powertrain can sound unpleasant at higher revs, but that is mostly a refinement issue rather than a durability warning. Lexus also includes regenerative braking in the hybrid models, which supports the overall efficiency-focused ownership experience.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright reliability and more about choosing the right trim for your priorities, since the performance model’s fuel use and the cabin tech’s usability can affect satisfaction over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Lexus RX Hybrid?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The RX 350h is the efficiency-focused choice, while the RX 500h F Sport Performance adds a more aggressive look, adaptive damping suspension, upgraded brakes, and rear-wheel steering. The base hybrid setup is the better fit if you want the most understated version, while the RX 500h suits you if you want the most engaging drive.
• Powertrain: The RX 350h uses a 2.5-litre four-cylinder hybrid setup with 246 hp and is the more efficient choice, while the RX 500h uses a turbocharged 2.4-litre four-cylinder hybrid system with 366 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque. The RX 500h is the quicker and more performance-oriented option, but it uses more fuel.
• Safety package: Every 2023 RX comes with Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, which includes motorcycle detection, evasive steering assistance, intersection turn assistance with front cross-traffic alert, curve-speed reduction for adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, and Proactive Driving Assist. Traffic Jam Assist is also offered, and Advanced Park is available.
• Infotainment: The RX gets a new Lexus Interface system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also offers cloud-based navigation, Google points of interest, and an Intelligent Assistant, but the system can be fiddly to use and the available head-up display can be distracting.
• Fuel efficiency: The RX 350h is expected to average 6.5 L/100 km in combined driving, while the RX 500h is expected to consume no less than 8.6 L/100 km in combined driving. In testing, the RX 350h averaged 7.4 L/100 km, while the RX 500h averaged 11.3 L/100 km.

Which 2023 Lexus RX Hybrid trim should I buy?

The 2023 Lexus RX Hybrid is offered in 2 trim levels: RX 350h and RX 500h F Sport Performance.

Here's the short version:

• RX 350h: This is the best-value trim if you want the RX Hybrid’s strongest mix of efficiency, quiet operation, and everyday usability. It is the better choice for most shoppers because it delivers the hybrid benefits without the RX 500h’s higher fuel use.
• RX 500h F Sport Performance: Choose this if you want the most powerful and engaging RX Hybrid. It adds a turbocharged hybrid drivetrain, a six-speed automatic, adaptive damping suspension, rear-wheel steering, and a more aggressive appearance, but it is the least efficient option.

Every 2023 RX comes with Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, so the core safety package is standard across the lineup.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Lexus RX Hybrid?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to compare options and enough deal activity to reward patience.

• Deal availability: 28.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 124 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.20% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $55,408 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Lexus RX Hybrid's resale value?

The current average of $55,580 CAD sits slightly below last year's $60,544 CAD.

That softer pricing trend can help you as a buyer today, but it also means a future seller may need to be more competitive when it comes time to list the vehicle. The current market suggests the RX Hybrid is not in a rising-price phase, so resale gains are less likely to come from appreciation and more likely to come from keeping the vehicle in strong condition and pricing it carefully.

The RX Hybrid’s broad appeal should still help support demand, especially for the more efficient RX 350h. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Lexus RX Hybrid safe?

The 2023 Lexus RX Hybrid earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2023 RX comes with Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, which includes motorcycle detection, evasive steering assistance, intersection turn assistance with front cross-traffic alert, curve-speed reduction for adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, and Proactive Driving Assist. Traffic Jam Assist is also offered, and Advanced Park is available.

There are a few caveats to keep in mind. The front cross-traffic alert can be awkward if you wear polarized sunglasses because the HUD indicators become harder to see, and the curve-speed reduction feature is described as reactive rather than proactive. The driver monitoring system can also trigger warnings if your arm blocks the camera’s view.

Should I buy a 2023 Lexus RX Hybrid or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 28.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.20% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 RX Hybrid stands out because Lexus expanded the redesigned RX line-up with three electrified models, giving you more hybrid choice than the previous-generation RX 450h.

The bottom line: If you want the broadest hybrid choice in the redesigned RX family, the 2023 is the year to target. If you are shopping mainly on price, you can still find value in this model year, especially if you focus on the RX 350h and compare listings carefully.
