Used 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport for Sale near British Columbia

How much does the 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport cost?

Prices have softened 16.69% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 109 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of choice in the used market.

Is the 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 9/10.

The design is clean, upscale, and intentionally understated, while the overall concept is aimed at buyers who want a luxury SUV with a sportier image than a standard Range Rover. It also brings serious off-road ability, which is the clearest part of its appeal.

The trade-offs are that handling is underwhelming and the back seat is cramped, while the technology is frustrating to use. If you value presence and capability more than sharp on-road manners or rear-seat space, it fits the brief well.

31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still some attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Range Rover Sport is built around a strong off-road identity and a high-end cabin, and the expert test-drive notes point to a powerful engine and a vehicle that feels especially capable away from pavement. Its performance character is backed by a robust drivetrain and a sophisticated suspension setup.

The dependability story is helped by the fact that the SUV is engineered for demanding use, including off-road travel and towing. Land Rover also says the SUV can learn your habits through its infotainment platform, and the available plug-in hybrid version is described as a way to save money on gas when kept charged.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that its complex technology and premium hardware can make upkeep and day-to-day ownership less forgiving than simpler luxury SUVs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Dynamic SE, Dynamic HSE, Autobiography, and SV Edition One each bring a different mix of luxury and equipment. The base Dynamic SE already has heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, premium LED headlights, flush-mounted door handles, and a luxurious cabin, while higher trims add more equipment and the Autobiography brings the plug-in hybrid drivetrain. The SV Edition One is a launch-year-only model that is already sold out.
• Powertrain: The turbocharged 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder engine uses mild-hybrid technology and delivers strong performance, while the plug-in hybrid drivetrain is exclusive to the Autobiography. The SUV drives through an eight-speed automatic transmission and Intelligent All-Wheel Drive, and Land Rover rates it to tow 3,500 kilograms.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, automatic high-beam headlights, a driver monitoring system, front and rear parking sensors, and a surround-view camera system with ClearSight Ground View. Wade Sensing is standard, too.
• Infotainment: Every Range Rover Sport has a 13.7-inch digital instrumentation display and a 13.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with haptic feedback. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Amazon Alexa compatibility, SiriusXM satellite radio, and an Online Pack with connected services are standard.
• Fuel efficiency: The expert test drive did not provide official Canadian fuel-consumption figures, but it recorded 10.5 L/100 km on one evaluation route and 9.4 L/100 km on a suburban highway drive.

Which 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport trim should I buy?

The 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport is offered in 4 trim levels: Dynamic SE, Dynamic HSE, Autobiography, and SV Edition One.

Here's the short version:

• Dynamic SE: This is the trim to start with if you want the core Range Rover Sport experience without chasing every luxury extra. It already brings the stylish design, strong standard tech, and the off-road hardware that defines the model, so it is the best-value choice for most shoppers.
• Dynamic HSE: Choose this if you want a richer equipment mix and are willing to pay more for added luxury and convenience. It builds on the same basic formula but is aimed at buyers who want a more upscale feel.
• Autobiography: This is the one to consider if you want the plug-in hybrid drivetrain and a more premium specification. It suits you best if you plan to keep it charged and want the efficiency advantage that comes with that setup.
• SV Edition One: This is the most exclusive version, but it is a launch-year-only model that is already sold out. It is for shoppers who want the rarest and most performance-focused specification available.

The safety package is broad across the range, with standard driver-assistance features already covering the essentials.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully rather than rush.

• Deal availability: 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 109 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.69% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $78,795 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport's resale value?

The current average of $79,030 CAD sits slightly below last year's $94,867 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the SUV more approachable for you as a buyer today. For a future seller, it also means there may be less room for strong appreciation unless demand stays firm for this model’s styling and capability.

Because the Range Rover Sport has a premium image and strong off-road appeal, it should continue to attract buyers who want something distinctive. But its resale performance will still depend on how well it holds up against ownership costs and how desirable its equipment and condition remain over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport safe?

The 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport earns Good ratings from IIHS and five-star ratings from NHTSA.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Land Rover equips it with forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, automatic high-beam headlights, a driver monitoring system, front and rear parking sensors, and a surround-view camera system with ClearSight Ground View. Wade Sensing is standard, too, and helps with water crossings.

Adaptive cruise control with steering assist is part of the evaluation focus, but the steering assist can be difficult to trust and the adaptive cruise control can respond slowly when traffic clears. That is the main caveat to keep in mind if you want the most polished driver-assistance experience.

Should I buy a 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.69% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It stands out for its stylish design and excellent off-road capability.

The bottom line: If you want the Range Rover Sport’s distinctive styling and genuine off-road ability at a more favourable used-market price, the 2023 is the one to target. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can use the softened market to negotiate hard and focus on well-kept examples with the equipment you actually want.
