Is the 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Sport a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for this model year. The 2020 Range Rover Sport stands out as a luxury SUV that blends serious off-road ability with a high-end, performance-focused character, and its position between the Range Rover Velar and the flagship Range Rover makes it a more driver-oriented alternative within the brand. It also offers strong engines, a refined cabin presentation, and genuine off-road hardware, which helps explain its appeal if you want capability and prestige in one package. The market shows 29.2% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Sport reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2020 Range Rover Sport is described as having poor reliability, expensive maintenance, and poor fuel economy, so the ownership experience can be costly even if the vehicle feels impressive on the road. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is higher than average, especially if you want a luxury SUV without frequent repair or service surprises.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Sport?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to compare options and some room to negotiate.

• Deal availability: 29.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 130 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.49% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $39,074 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Sport's resale value?

The current average of $39,074 CAD sits slightly below last year's $49,145 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favourable point if you plan to keep the vehicle for a while. For a future seller, it also means there may be less room for appreciation unless demand strengthens. Because this model sits in the luxury segment and carries higher ownership costs, resale performance will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and service history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 29.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.49% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the 2020 Range Rover Sport’s blend of luxury, performance, and off-road credibility, it makes sense to focus on well-priced examples with solid history. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may give you a similar experience with a different market position, so it is worth comparing listings carefully before you commit.
