Is the 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Sport a good car?

The 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Sport stands out as a luxury SUV that blends serious off-road ability with high-end performance and a distinctly upscale presence. It is positioned as a midsize SUV with a starting price of more than $110,000, and its long-standing 4x4 expertise gives it unusual credibility in harsh terrain and bad weather. It is also described as having sports car level performance, flawless four-wheel drive, and high-end cabins, which helps explain why it feels more special than many rivals.

For you, that means this model makes the most sense if you want a lavish SUV with genuine capability and strong performance rather than a purely practical family hauler. The 2024 updates also push it further toward a tech-heavy cabin, which may appeal if you like a modern interior layout.

33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent pool of value-oriented options to consider.

Is the 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Sport reliable?

The 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Sport is described as a luxury SUV with serious capability and strong performance, but it is not an easy recommendation. The buying guide flags poor reliability, poor fuel economy, and low resale out of warranty as key drawbacks, so ownership costs remain part of the story.

If you plan to keep one long term, you should be prepared for higher risk and potentially higher running costs than you might expect from a mainstream used SUV.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Sport?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market: there is enough inventory to shop carefully, and the pricing trend is working in your favour.

• Deal availability: 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 112 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.00% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $92,630 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Sport's resale value?

The current average of $92,630 CAD sits slightly below last year's $106,468 CAD.

That price movement suggests the model has softened in the used market, which can help you buy more affordably today. For a future seller, it also means you may face more depreciation pressure than with some rivals. If resale matters to you, this is a vehicle to buy carefully and hold only if the ownership experience is worth it.

Should I buy a 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.00% compared with last year.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $79,030 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $92,630 CAD average.
• It is stronger off-road and has a more rugged character.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $115,507 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $92,630 CAD average.
• It adds multiple powertrain choices and sharper handling.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of current pricing and availability, the 2024 is the primary path to consider. If you are more price-sensitive and can live with an older model, the 2023 is the better value play.
