Used 2023 Honda Pilot for Sale nearGloucester, ON

How much does the 2023 Honda Pilot cost?

Prices have softened 7.25% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 183 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for shoppers to compare.

Is the 2023 Honda Pilot a good car?

Generally — the 2023 Honda Pilot earns a 4.42/5 user rating and a 7.33/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its spaciousness, comfortable ride, and room for up to 8 passengers, and they also like its stylish design. The main trade-offs are that some drivers found the engine performance lacking, especially for torque and fuel efficiency, and the infotainment system drew criticism for being underwhelming compared with competitors.

That lines up with the Pilot’s use case as a family-focused three-row crossover with plenty of cargo space and a comfortable, easygoing character. With 24.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still a meaningful spread of market opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2023 Honda Pilot reliable?

Owners rate it 4.42/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that many people feel comfortable living with over time, especially because it is seen as spacious, comfortable, and family-friendly. The expert evaluation also describes it as a practical, versatile SUV built for daily family duties, with a powertrain and chassis tuned for comfort and confidence rather than drama.

Honda’s standard maintenance and ownership experience is also helped by the Pilot’s straightforward family-SUV mission, which should make it easier to count on for regular use. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that some shoppers may be less satisfied if they expect stronger fuel efficiency or more energetic engine response.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Honda Pilot?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Sport trim gets the redesigned body, standard AWD, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel, but the EX-L is the value leader because it adds leather upholstery, a universal garage door opener via HomeLink, second-row sunshades, and more of the useful comfort and convenience equipment. The TrailSport is the one to consider if you want the off-road-capable setup with a taller ride height, all-terrain tyres, and skid plates.
• Powertrain: You get an all-new 3.5-litre V6 with 285 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and standard i-VTM4 AWD in Canada. The Pilot is tuned for comfort, with quick initial response and adequate power rather than sporty performance.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard on all trims and includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, lane departure warning, traffic-jam assist, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, a traffic sign reader, automatic high beams, and a driver attention monitor. Front and rear parking sensors are added on the EX-L and higher trims, while the Touring adds surround-view and multi-view camera systems.
• Infotainment: Step up to at least the EX-L if you want the larger touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a wireless phone charger. The Touring adds USB ports in every row, a head-up display, and a fully digital instrument panel.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada estimates 11.0 L/100 km combined for the AWD Pilot, 11.8 L/100 km combined for the TrailSport, and 11.2 L/100 km combined for the Touring.

Which 2023 Honda Pilot trim should I buy?

The 2023 Honda Pilot is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, EX-L, TrailSport, Touring.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, and it gives you the redesigned Pilot with standard AWD and the core comfort and safety equipment. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting price and can live without the extra convenience and tech upgrades.
• EX-L: This is the best-value trim. It adds leather upholstery, HomeLink, second-row sunshades, the larger touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a wireless phone charger, making it the sweet spot for most used buyers.
• TrailSport: Choose this if you want the off-road-capable version with a taller ride height, all-terrain tyres, and skid plates. It is the right pick if you genuinely plan to leave pavement behind.
• Touring: This is the most feature-rich trim, with USB ports in every row, a head-up display, a fully digital instrument panel, navigation, Bose premium audio, and the surround-view and multi-view camera systems.

Front and rear parking sensors are standard from the EX-L up, while the Touring adds the camera upgrades.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Honda Pilot?

It is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you have room to compare listings and wait for the right example.

• Deal availability: 24.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 183 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.25% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $48,163 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Honda Pilot's resale value?

The current average of $48,244 CAD sits slightly below last year's $52,016 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Pilot has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to be realistic about pricing if they want to move quickly. The current trend points to a market that is still adjusting, so well-kept examples should remain competitive, but not immune to depreciation pressure.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.42/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Honda Pilot safe?

The 2023 Honda Pilot earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the IIHS.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard Honda Sensing features include forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, lane departure warning, traffic-jam assist, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, a traffic sign reader, automatic high beams, and a driver attention monitor. Front and rear parking sensors are added on the EX-L and higher trims, while the Touring trim includes surround-view and multi-view camera systems.

The expert evaluation also notes that the advanced safety features worked as intended during testing, with no false alarms observed. If you plan to use the TrailSport off pavement, some proximity warnings and low-speed automatic braking may need to be disabled because obstacles can trigger them too easily.

Should I buy a 2023 Honda Pilot or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 24.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.25% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.42/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It brings a full redesign, more power, and an off-road-capable TrailSport model.

The bottom line: If you want the most modern Pilot in this group, the 2023 is the one to target because it combines the redesign, stronger powertrain, and broad family-friendly usefulness. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth considering, but the 2023 remains the better pick when you want the newest look and the most complete mix of comfort, safety, and versatility.
