Is the 2023 Honda Odyssey a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Honda Odyssey earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its spaciousness, comfort, and flexible second-row seating, and they also value the many safety features. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a family minivan that prioritises easy day-to-day use, cargo versatility, and a well-equipped cabin. With 34.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Honda Odyssey reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe it as comfortable, spacious, and versatile, with a reputation that supports dependable family use over time. The owner feedback also points to a vehicle that many people count on for hauling passengers and cargo without drama. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the vehicle has been maintained carefully, especially given the model’s history of electrical, infotainment, and transmission concerns.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Honda Odyssey?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 205 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.87% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $41,848 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $42,268 CAD sits slightly below last year's $47,961 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Odyssey more attractive to buyers today but less favourable for sellers trying to maximise return. If you own one, the softer pricing trend means you may need to price competitively to stand out. On the other hand, strong family appeal and broad usefulness can help support demand when you eventually sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.87% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $37,849 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $42,268 CAD average.
• It delivers a more enjoyable, responsive drive.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2023 if you want the stronger current-market balance of pricing, deal availability, and owner satisfaction. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2022 is the better value play, especially if you find one with a solid maintenance history.
