Is the 2023 Honda Odyssey a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Honda Odyssey earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction.

Drivers consistently praise its spaciousness and comfort, especially for family use and cargo hauling. They also highlight the flexible second-row seating and the many safety features, which fit well with its role as a practical, easy-to-live-with minivan. For you, that means it makes the most sense if you want a family hauler that prioritises comfort, versatility, and day-to-day convenience.

Is the 2023 Honda Odyssey reliable?

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable, comfortable, and well suited to family life over time. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is making sure the vehicle has been maintained carefully, since a neglected example can be more expensive to live with.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Honda Odyssey?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 205 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.33% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $41,848 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $42,213 CAD sits slightly below last year's $47,076 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more favourably now but may also limit near-term upside if you plan to resell soon. If you purchase at the current average, your future resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance history. A well-kept Odyssey should still appeal to family buyers because it remains practical and easy to live with.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.33% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $37,021 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $42,213 CAD average.
• It offers a more enjoyable driving feel.

The bottom line: Choose the 2023 if you want the stronger current-market balance of satisfaction, availability, and pricing. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2022 is the better value-focused alternative.
