Used 2023 Honda Civic for Sale near Newfoundland and Labrador

How much does the 2023 Honda Civic cost?

Prices have softened 9.84% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,151 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Honda Civic a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Honda Civic earns a 4.9/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its comfort, fuel efficiency, roomy interior, and strong performance. That fits well if you want a compact car that feels more substantial than its class suggests, with practicality and a polished driving experience. With 29.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2023 Honda Civic reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also leans toward dependable, trouble-free ownership, with many reviews describing the car as a vehicle you can count on over the long term. That said, some shoppers note missing features, so reliability and satisfaction may be strongest when you prioritise the Civic’s core strengths over top-trim expectations.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is paying too much for a higher-trim example that does not add enough value for the price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Honda Civic?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, so it pays to compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 29.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,151 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.84% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $25,461 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Honda Civic's resale value?

The current average of $25,461 CAD sits slightly below last year's $28,240 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Civic has softened enough to improve your entry point as a buyer, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive market if prices continue to ease. If you buy near the current average, your resale position should be more stable than if you overpay near the top of the range. Strong demand and broad appeal can help support future value, especially for well-kept examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Honda Civic or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 29.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.84% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $23,510 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $25,461 CAD average.
• The redesign brought a major update with strong comfort, technology, and driving balance.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $27,441 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $25,461 CAD average.
• It adds a more enthusiast-focused character with a manual transmission and stronger performance.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the best all-around choice if you want a well-liked Civic with strong owner satisfaction and a softer price trend. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2022 is the smarter value play; if you want a more performance-oriented Civic, the 2024 is the better fit.
