Used 2024 Honda Civic for Sale near Newfoundland and Labrador

How much does the 2024 Honda Civic cost?

Prices have softened 9.76% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 832 listings available, which suggests healthy inventory for shoppers comparing options.

Is the 2024 Honda Civic a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Honda Civic earns a 4.5/5 user rating and an 8.00/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise the new look, interior design, driving experience, smooth manual shifting, and great gas mileage. The Civic also comes across as a car that feels rewarding to drive while still being usable every day, which fits its enthusiast-focused character.

The trade-offs are clear: all-wheel drive is not available, the brakes can’t withstand repeated hard use, and the driver assistance technology can be irritating. That matters most if you want a compact car that is easygoing in all conditions rather than one tuned for driving enjoyment first.

With 27.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Honda Civic reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a car that feels dependable in daily use, with praise for its smooth manual shifting, great gas mileage, and overall driving experience. The recurring themes suggest a model that owners feel good about living with over time.

The expert drive notes also describe the Civic Si as surprisingly docile in urban and suburban driving, with a suspension that feels connected without beating you up. That supports the idea that it should be easy to count on as a daily driver.

Honda also includes a strong equipment set, which can help reduce the need for immediate add-ons after purchase. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the braking system and driver-assistance behaviour may be less satisfying than the rest of the car.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Honda Civic?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Civic Si’s stealthy styling, red interior accents, LED lighting, 18-inch alloy wheels, and dual exhaust give it a more expressive look than a standard Civic sedan, but the base setup still keeps the car understated. Make sure the equipment level matches how much you value the sportier appearance and cabin details.
• Powertrain: You get a high-output turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine with 200 horsepower and 192 pound-feet of torque, paired with a close-ratio six-speed manual transmission and rev-matching. It is front-wheel drive only, with a helical limited-slip differential and all-season tires in Canada.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing includes forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, automatic high-beam headlights, front and rear parking sensors, and traffic sign recognition. The system can be irritating in use, so test it carefully.
• Infotainment: Every Civic Si gets a 9-inch colour touchscreen with onboard navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, HD Radio, HondaLink connected services, and a 12-speaker Bose sound system. The setup is easy to use and well equipped.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada says it should use 7.7 L/100 km in combined driving, and the test route returned 8.0 L/100 km.

Which 2024 Honda Civic trim should I buy?

The 2024 Honda Civic is offered in 1 trim level: Civic Si.

Here's the short version:

Civic Si: This is the one to buy if you want the Civic’s enthusiast-focused personality, because it combines the turbocharged engine, manual transmission, limited-slip differential, upgraded brakes, and richer cabin details. It is the clear choice for drivers who care most about engagement and value in a sporty compact sedan.

The safety package is standard on this trim, but its behaviour can be intrusive, so it is worth testing on your usual routes before you commit.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Honda Civic?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 27.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 832 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.76% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $27,701 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Honda Civic's resale value?

The current average of $27,701 CAD sits slightly below last year's $30,698 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled enough to give buyers more leverage today. For a future seller, that means resale value may be steadier if the car remains well kept and attractively equipped, but you should not expect a strong appreciation story from this model year.

The Civic’s broad appeal helps support demand, especially because owners rate it highly and the car has a strong enthusiast following. Even so, the current trend shows that buyers are paying less than they were a year ago, so timing and condition will matter when you eventually sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Honda Civic safe?

The 2024 Honda Civic earns a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS and a five-star overall rating from NHTSA, with a four-star rating for front passenger protection in a frontal-impact collision.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is the standard driver-assistance suite, and it includes forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, automatic high-beam headlights, front and rear parking sensors, and traffic sign recognition.

The caveat is that the system can be irritating in real-world use, especially the lane-keeping and adaptive cruise functions. That means the hardware list is strong, but you should test how the system behaves before relying on it as a daily companion.

Should I buy a 2024 Honda Civic or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 27.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.76% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the Civic Si’s enthusiast focus with a manual transmission and strong driving engagement.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $29,759 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $27,701 CAD average.
• It adds a clearer powertrain lineup and Google Built-In.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2024 is the smarter buy because prices have eased and inventory is healthy. If you are willing to pay more for the newer model-year structure and updated tech direction, the 2025 is the better alternative.
