Used 2023 Honda CR-V for Sale nearNorth York, ON

How much does the 2023 Honda CR-V cost?

Prices have softened 10.81% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 936 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Honda CR-V a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Honda CR-V earns a 4.71/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Form and function and Safety.

Drivers consistently praise its smooth ride, quality interior, and strong feature set, and they also respond well to its safety and economy. The CR-V’s roomy cabin and cargo space make it especially appealing if you want a practical compact SUV for everyday use. On the other hand, the transmission can be irritating, the styling is conservative, and it does not bring much technological innovation.

If you want a comfortable, practical crossover that prioritises space and refinement over flash, this year’s CR-V fits that brief well. With 26.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is also a decent amount of market flexibility for shoppers.

Is the 2023 Honda CR-V reliable?

Owners rate it 4.71/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable, with drivers highlighting its smooth ride, quality interior, and strong feature set. The expert assessment also reinforces that sense of durability by describing the CR-V as a refined, well-executed SUV that should hold its own in daily use.

Honda’s updated engineering and safety systems add to the impression that this is a vehicle you can count on over time. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright durability and more about living with the CVT’s behaviour and the higher purchase price compared with older examples.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Honda CR-V?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The EX-L stands out with leather-wrapped seats, steering wheel, and shift knob, plus a larger touchscreen, a power-adjustable front passenger’s seat, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a power rear liftgate, and front and rear parking sensors. Lower grades use cloth upholstery and a smaller touchscreen, while some B trims omit blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.
• Powertrain: Gas-only models use a turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine with 190 horsepower and 179 lb-ft of torque, paired with a CVT and available with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. It is strong enough for the class, but the transmission can drone under hard acceleration.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing includes adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, automatic high-beam headlights, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a seatbelt reminder system, a rear-seat reminder system, driver monitoring, traffic sign recognition, and Traffic Jam Assist. Some B trims leave out blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.
• Infotainment: Most trims get a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The EX-L upgrades to a 9-inch display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, wireless charging, and an upgraded eight-speaker sound system. The top Touring Hybrid is needed for the Bose premium audio system and navigation with real-time traffic.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada says the test vehicle should see 8.4 L/100 km in combined driving, and the review’s evaluation route returned 8.1 L/100 km.

Which 2023 Honda CR-V trim should I buy?

The 2023 Honda CR-V is offered in 4 trim levels: LX-B, Sport, EX-L, Touring Hybrid.

Here's the short version:

• LX-B: This is the entry point, and it makes sense if you want the CR-V’s core space, comfort, and safety without paying for extra convenience features. Just be aware that some B trims can omit blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.
• Sport: This is the step-up choice if you want a better-equipped CR-V without jumping all the way to the top. It should suit you if you want a more balanced mix of features and value.
• EX-L: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds the larger 9-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone connectivity, wireless charging, a power rear liftgate, and more upscale cabin materials. If you want the sweet spot between price and equipment, this is the one to target.
• Touring Hybrid: This is the top trim and the only one that gets the Bose premium sound system and navigation with real-time traffic. Choose it if you want the most complete feature set and do not mind paying for it.

Honda’s safety package is broad across the lineup, but some B trims do leave out blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Honda CR-V?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 26.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 936 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.81% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $32,511 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Honda CR-V's resale value?

The current average of $32,511 CAD sits slightly below last year's $36,450 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward from the prior year, which can make the CR-V more attractive to used buyers today. For a future seller, it also means there may be less room for appreciation if prices continue to normalise. Even so, the CR-V’s strong reputation for comfort, utility, and broad appeal should help support demand when it is time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.71/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Honda CR-V safe?

The 2023 Honda CR-V earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is the standard driver-assistance suite, and it includes adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, automatic high-beam headlights, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a seatbelt reminder system, a rear-seat reminder system, driver monitoring, traffic sign recognition, and Traffic Jam Assist.

Some B trims omit blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, so you should confirm the exact equipment list before you buy. The lane-centring assist system also has some uncertainty in certain highway situations, which is worth keeping in mind if you rely heavily on driver assistance.

Should I buy a 2023 Honda CR-V or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 26.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.81% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.71/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 brings a redesign, new infotainment and safety features, and the first Canadian availability of the hybrid powertrain.

The bottom line: If you want the most up-to-date CR-V in this range, the 2023 is the one to target because it adds the redesign, more modern tech, and stronger safety equipment while preserving the model’s core strengths. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may still make sense, but the 2023 is the better pick when you want the newest body, the freshest feature set, and broad buyer appeal.
