How much does the 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid cost?

Is the 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid earns a 4.9/5 user rating and an 8.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise the smooth ride, comfort, spacious interior, and advanced safety features. The model also fits well if you want a practical compact SUV with strong everyday usability and a more modern, stylish design.

The main trade-offs are touchy brakes at low speeds and a small moonroof. In the context of the CR-V Hybrid’s roomy, family-friendly layout and fuel-efficient focus, those drawbacks are relatively minor for many shoppers.

The current listing mix shows 29.6% of vehicles are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with repeated praise for comfort, the smooth ride, and the sense that the vehicle is easy to count on. The expert review also reinforces that impression by describing the hybrid as a well-rounded, practical SUV with strong everyday usability and a fuel-efficient character.

Honda’s positioning of the hybrid as the top choice also suggests a vehicle built for long-term use rather than short-term novelty. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is less about reliability and more about whether the higher trim-only pricing still fits your budget.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Hybrid Touring is the only hybrid trim, and it brings the top-end cabin treatment, 19-inch wheels, and a more premium feel than lower CR-V trims. If you want the hybrid, you are effectively shopping the fully equipped version.
• Powertrain: The hybrid pairs a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with two electric motors for 204 horsepower and 247 lb-ft of torque. It is described as responsive, with a CVT, drive modes including Snow, and regenerative braking through the “B” shifter position.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard, along with front and rear parking sensors, rain-sensing windshield wipers, traffic jam assist, traffic sign recognition, low-speed braking control, blind-spot monitoring, cross-traffic monitor, rear-seat reminder, and rear seatbelt reminder. Some trims marked with a B shipped without blind-spot monitoring and cross-traffic monitor due to parts shortages.
• Infotainment: The Hybrid Touring gets a 9-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Wi-Fi capability, a wireless charging pad, and a 12-speaker Bose Premium audio system. It also includes Honda’s smart navigation system.
• Fuel efficiency: The hybrid is estimated at 6.0 L/100 km in city driving, 6.9 L/100 km on the highway, and 6.4 L/100 km combined.

Which 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid trim should I buy?

The 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid is offered in 1 trim level: Hybrid Touring.

Here's the short version:

The Hybrid Touring is the trim to buy because it is the only hybrid version and comes fully loaded with the strongest equipment set. You get the premium cabin, the larger 9-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone integration, Bose audio, and the full safety suite, so there is no lower hybrid trim to trade down to. If you want the CR-V Hybrid, this is the one to focus on.

The safety package is standard on this trim, which makes it easier to shop without worrying about missing core driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 345 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.48% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $37,631 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid's resale value?

The current average of $37,834 CAD sits slightly below last year's $41,796 CAD.

That softer pricing trend suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, which can make future resale a little more competitive for sellers. If you buy now, you may benefit from the lower entry point, but you should also expect resale values to reflect the same broader cooling in the market.

Because the model still has strong owner satisfaction and a practical hybrid formula, it should remain appealing to used shoppers over time. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid safe?

The 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid earns a Top Safety Pick+ award from the IIHS and five-star ratings from NHTSA.

It earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard, and the suite includes adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation braking, road-departure mitigation, lane-keeping assist, traffic jam assist, traffic sign recognition, low-speed braking control, front and rear parking sensors, rain-sensing windshield wipers, blind-spot monitoring, cross-traffic monitor, rear-seat reminder, and rear seatbelt reminder.

A key caveat is that trims marked with a B shipped without blind-spot monitoring and cross-traffic monitor because of ongoing parts shortages.

Should I buy a 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.48% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It is the first Canadian CR-V Hybrid and brings the Hybrid Touring trim with standard AWD and a full safety suite.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $39,653 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $37,834 CAD average.
• A lower-priced EX-L Hybrid trim debuts, giving you a cheaper entry point to the hybrid powertrain.

The bottom line: If you want the best current used-value story, the 2023 is the stronger buy because prices have eased and the model already delivers the full hybrid Touring package. If you are price-sensitive and want a newer-year alternative with a lower hybrid entry point, the 2024 is worth a look.
