Should I buy a 2023 GMC Sierra 2500HD or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 26.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.41% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $60,440 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $65,395 CAD average.
• It balances serious capability with the features many buyers expect from a work truck.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $77,504 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $65,395 CAD average.
• It adds the Denali Ultimate trim and a more luxury-focused top-end setup.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the best all-around choice if you want a premium-feeling heavy-duty truck at a softer price than the 2024. If your priority is saving money, the 2022 is the better value path, while the 2024 makes sense if you want the newest upscale trim and are willing to pay more.
