Should I buy a 2023 GMC Sierra 2500HD or consider a different year?

Choose the 2023 if:

• 24.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.75% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $63,460 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $67,232 CAD average.
• It balances capability with everyday usability.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $78,928 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $67,232 CAD average.
• It adds the Denali Ultimate and even more luxury.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of price, inventory, and upscale heavy-duty capability, the 2023 is the primary pick. If your budget is tighter, the 2022 is the better value path; if you want the newest luxury-focused trim and can pay more, the 2024 is the upgrade route.
