How much does the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD cost?

Prices have softened 3.75% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 158 listings available, which suggests a reasonable amount of inventory for a heavy-duty truck.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD a good car?

The 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD is built around serious capability rather than car-like comfort, and that focus shows in its towing- and payload-oriented design. It offers a broad range of configurations, including rear-wheel drive, four-wheel drive, and dual-rear-wheel setups, so you can tailor it more closely to work demands than many lighter-duty trucks.

It also brings useful trailering technology and a strong list of available convenience features, including detailed camera views, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alerts, adaptive cruise control with trailer monitoring, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and SiriusXM satellite radio. If you need a very large truck for hauling, towing, or jobsite use, it fits that brief well.

With 34.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD reliable?

The 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD is presented as a durability-focused heavy-duty truck with engineering aimed at demanding work. Its available powertrains, Allison ten-speed automatic transmission, and towing-focused hardware all point to a vehicle designed for sustained utility rather than light-duty commuting.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about everyday softness and more about whether the truck has been worked hard, so condition and maintenance history matter a great deal.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 158 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.75% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $66,959 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD's resale value?

The current average of $68,291 CAD sits slightly below last year's $70,950 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the truck is currently in a more buyer-friendly position than it was a year ago. For a future seller, that means resale value may be more sensitive to condition, mileage, and equipment than to broad market momentum alone. Well-kept examples with the right towing setup should still hold appeal, but you should not expect a strong upward price trend from the market itself.

Should I buy a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.75% compared with last year.

The bottom line: If you want a heavy-duty truck with serious capability and a market that is currently a bit more forgiving, the 2023 is the primary year to target. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a similar truck offers a lower entry point, but the 2023 already gives you a solid mix of inventory, deal availability, and softened pricing.
