How much does the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD cost?

Prices have softened 6.85% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD a good car?

The 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD stands out as a heavy-duty pickup built around serious capability rather than car-like comfort. It has aggressive styling, a huge front end, and the kind of towing and payload focus that makes sense if you need to move very large trailers or heavy loads.

Chevrolet also gives you a broad range of configurations, including rear-wheel drive, four-wheel drive, and dual-rear-wheel setups, so you can tailor it more closely to work demands than many lighter-duty trucks. For buyers who want huge capability, a wide choice of cab and bed combinations, and a strong list of available features that make a very large truck easier to live with, it fits the brief well.

40.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a solid amount of market flexibility.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD reliable?

The 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD is presented as a truck built around durability and towing-focused engineering. Its appeal comes from serious capability, a broad range of configurations, and hardware designed to handle demanding work.

It is not the plushest option in the class, and the cabins have been criticised as too basic compared with some rivals, but the overall package is aimed at buyers who prioritise strength and utility. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a truck used for heavy towing or work may have experienced more wear than a lighter-duty vehicle.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD?

This looks like a buyer-friendly moment if you are shopping for a heavy-duty truck and want room to negotiate.

• Deal availability: 40.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 147 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.85% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $66,959 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD's resale value?

The current average of $67,403 CAD sits slightly below last year's $72,361 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has eased, which can help you buy with less pressure today. If you plan to sell later, the softer current pricing means your future resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how hard the truck has been used. Well-kept examples should still appeal to buyers who need serious towing capability, but work-truck wear can affect what the next owner is willing to pay.

Should I buy a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 40.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.85% compared with last year.

The bottom line: If you want a heavy-duty truck with serious capability and a market that currently favours shoppers, the 2023 is a sensible place to focus. If your priority is simply finding the lowest asking price, it is also worth comparing nearby model years to see whether a similar truck offers a better deal for your budget.
