How much does the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD cost?

Prices have softened 6.90% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 155 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD a good car?

The 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD is built around serious capability rather than car-like manners, with up to 16,300 kilograms of towing and up to 3,300 kilograms of payload depending on configuration. It also gives you a broad range of body styles and work-focused hardware, including rear-wheel drive as standard, four-wheel drive as an option, and a dual-rear-wheel setup for added stability.

For everyday use, the appeal is the combination of brute strength and useful equipment. You get 12 cargo tie-downs, the Multi-Flex Tailgate on all trim levels, and the only power up/down tailgate in its segment, plus trailering tech and connectivity features such as an advanced trailering app, detailed camera views, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and SiriusXM satellite radio.

33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent chance of finding a competitive offer if you shop carefully.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD reliable?

The 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD is presented as a purpose-built heavy-duty truck with a strong focus on towing, payload, and work-ready equipment. Its appeal comes from that straightforward mission, along with available safety features such as blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alerts, park assist, and adaptive cruise control with trailer monitoring.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about luxury and more about whether you need the truck’s full capability often enough to justify its size, complexity, and running costs.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you know what configuration you want.

• Deal availability: 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 155 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.90% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $66,967 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD's resale value?

The current average of $67,058 CAD sits slightly below last year's $72,031 CAD.

For a future seller, that softer pricing trend suggests the market has become a bit more favourable to buyers, which can put pressure on resale values in the near term. If you plan to own one for a while, the Silverado 3500HD’s work-truck appeal and heavy-duty capability should still help it remain relevant to shoppers who need serious towing and payload strength. If you sell sooner, pricing competitively will matter more than ever.

Should I buy a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.90% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2023 Silverado 3500HD makes sense if you want a heavy-duty truck with strong towing credentials, useful trailering tech, and a market that is currently a bit softer than it was a year ago. If you are price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2023 is the better path when you want a broad inventory pool and a chance to find a well-priced example.
