Used 2023 Chevrolet Colorado for Sale near Sarnia, ON

How much does the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado cost?

Prices have softened 6.13% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 237 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado a good car?

It’s a strong fit if you want a modern midsize truck with a clear focus on capability, technology, and off-road use, though it comes with a few notable compromises. The Colorado earns 3/5 from users and 6.5/10 from our experts.

The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

Chevrolet gives you a crew-cab, short-bed layout, modern instrumentation, and a well-equipped cabin even in the base Work Truck trim. It also brings impressive payload and towing capability, plus a design that is described as good-looking inside and out.

The trade-offs are the aggravating forward collision warning system, poor fuel economy, and cheap-feeling interior materials.

With 29.1% of listings priced as good or great deals, you may find worthwhile value if you shop carefully.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado reliable?

The 2023 Colorado is presented as robustly engineered, and Chevrolet backs it with a modern turbocharged four-cylinder powertrain and a broad set of standard safety technologies. The truck’s structure is described as rigid, and the powertrain is portrayed as strong and capable across both pavement and rough terrain.

Chevrolet also includes modern connectivity and driver-assistance hardware that should help everyday usability, and the truck’s engineering focus suggests it is built for hard use. The main long-term ownership risk for used buyers is that the same safety-system behaviour and fuel-cost concerns that show up in testing could remain frustrating over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Chevrolet Colorado?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Work Truck trim is the most stripped-back choice, while the LT, Trail Boss, Z71, and ZR2 add nicer cabins and more body-colour detailing. The WT also lacks the purposeful front skid plate that appears on the Trail Boss.
• Powertrain: Every Colorado uses a turbocharged 2.7-litre four-cylinder engine with an eight-speed automatic. WT and LT models make 237 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, while Trail Boss and Z71 models make 310 horsepower and 391 pound-feet; ZR2 models use a high-output version with 430 pound-feet of torque.
• Safety package: Chevy Safety Assist is standard and includes forward collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring with active steering assist, rear cross-traffic and pedestrian alert with automatic braking, and rear parking sensors are optional.
• Infotainment: Every Colorado gets digital instrumentation and an 11.3-inch touchscreen with Google Built-in, plus wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, OnStar, Chevrolet connected services, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. Wireless charging is available, and the ZR2 gets an 11-inch instrument screen.
• Fuel efficiency: The Trail Boss is rated at 12.4 litres per 100 kilometres combined, and testing returned 13.8 L/100 km.

Which 2023 Chevrolet Colorado trim should I buy?

The 2023 Chevrolet Colorado is offered in 5 trim levels: WT, LT, Trail Boss, Z71, ZR2.

Here's the short version:

• WT: This is the value-focused starting point, and it still gives you the modern digital instrumentation and 11.3-inch touchscreen. It makes the most sense if you want the Colorado’s core tech and capability without paying for off-road extras.
• LT: This is the better all-rounder if you want a more polished everyday truck, since it adds a nicer cabin and more body-colour detailing while keeping the Colorado’s useful tech and available 4WD.
• Trail Boss: This is the best-value choice if you want the Colorado’s off-road personality, because it adds a suspension lift, all-terrain tyres, hill descent control, and a more purposeful look.
• Z71: Choose this if you want a stronger mix of off-road hardware and everyday refinement, with the more powerful engine and standard 4WD.
• ZR2: This is the most serious off-road version, with the highest-output engine, mud-terrain tyres, a larger instrument screen, and exclusive Multimatic DSSV dampers.

Chevy Safety Assist is standard across the range, while more advanced driver-assistance features remain optional.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Chevrolet Colorado?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right truck.

• Deal availability: 29.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 237 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.13% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $43,149 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado's resale value?

The current average of $43,486 CAD sits slightly below last year's $46,324 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Colorado has become a more approachable used buy than it was a year ago. If you’re a future seller, that also means you may face more price pressure unless your truck is especially well equipped or lightly used.

For buyers, the current trend is helpful because it gives you more room to negotiate. For sellers, it means you should price carefully and highlight desirable trims, equipment, and condition to stand out.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado safe?

The 2023 Colorado does not have a crash-test rating cited here, but it does come with a standard suite of driver-assistance features through Chevy Safety Assist. It earns a 3/10 safety score from our experts.

Chevy Safety Assist includes forward collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. OnStar also adds SOS emergency calling and automatic crash notification, while Teen Driver and Buckle to Drive add family-friendly oversight.

The main caveat is the forward collision warning system, which is described as overly sensitive and prone to false alerts. Optional upgrades include adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring with active steering assist, rear cross-traffic and pedestrian alert with automatic braking, and rear parking sensors.

Should I buy a 2023 Chevrolet Colorado or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 29.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.13% compared with last year.
• It combines modern tech, strong capability, and a clear off-road focus.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $47,645 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $43,486 CAD average.
• It shifts further toward recreation-focused use with a more modern, lifestyle-oriented setup.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the better starting point if you want the strongest mix of value, capability, and modern equipment. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer, more recreation-focused direction, the 2024 is the alternative to consider; if price matters most, the 2023 is the smarter path.
