Used 2023 Chevrolet Colorado for Sale near Manitoba

How much does the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado cost?

Prices have softened 5.65% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 231 listings available, which suggests you have a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado a good car?

The 2023 Chevrolet Colorado is a strong fit if you want a well-equipped midsize truck that leans into capability and technology, though it comes with a few notable compromises. It earns 3/5 from users and 6.5/10 from our experts.

The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

It stands out as a thoroughly updated crew-cab, short-bed truck with robust engineering, strong payload and towing numbers, and a clear off-road focus across much of the lineup. The trade-offs are the cheap-feeling interior materials and the poor fuel economy, both of which temper the value story.

The current market shows 31.6% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado reliable?

The redesigned Colorado is built around a modern turbocharged four-cylinder setup and a thoroughly updated platform, which gives it a fresh start for this model year. Its expert evaluation also points to strong structural rigidity and confident on-road behaviour.

The powertrain is described as satisfying in acceleration, and the truck’s body control and steering/braking responses help it feel composed in daily use. The tech-heavy cabin and updated hardware also suggest a truck designed to feel current rather than dated.

If you’re buying used, the main long-term ownership risk is that a recurring safety-system annoyance could become a daily frustration.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Chevrolet Colorado?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The WT is the only rear-wheel-drive trim in Canada, and it lacks the purposeful front skid plate that appears on the Trail Boss. The LT, Z71, and ZR2 get nicer cabins and some body-colour treatment up front, while the Trail Boss and ZR2 lean harder into off-road use.
• Powertrain: Every Colorado uses a turbocharged 2.7-litre four-cylinder engine with an eight-speed automatic. WT and LT models use the lower-output version, while Trail Boss, Z71, and ZR2 get more power; the ZR2’s high-output version delivers the most torque.
• Safety package: Chevy Safety Assist is standard and includes forward collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring with active steering assist, rear cross-traffic and pedestrian alert with automatic braking, and rear parking sensors are optional.
• Infotainment: Every trim gets an 11.3-inch touchscreen with Google Built-in, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, Bluetooth, SiriusXM, OnStar, connected services, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. The ZR2 adds an 11-inch instrument screen.
• Fuel efficiency: The Trail Boss is rated at 12.4 L/100 km combined, and testing returned 13.8 L/100 km.

Which 2023 Chevrolet Colorado trim should I buy?

The 2023 Chevrolet Colorado is offered in 5 trim levels: WT, LT, Trail Boss, Z71, ZR2.

Here's the short version:

• WT: This is the entry point, but it still gets the modern digital instrumentation and 11.3-inch touchscreen, so you’re not giving up the core tech. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost path into the redesigned Colorado and can live with the more basic cabin.
• LT: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a more polished feel while keeping the Colorado’s core tech and capability intact. If you want a more balanced daily driver without jumping deep into off-road territory, this is the trim to focus on.
• Trail Boss: This is the right pick if you want a more rugged look and stronger off-road hardware, including the suspension lift, all-terrain tyres, and hill descent control. It suits you best if weekend trail use matters more than fuel economy or cabin refinement.
• Z71: This trim builds on the off-road-friendly formula with more power and standard 4WD, while also moving you closer to a more upscale experience than the Trail Boss. It’s a smart middle ground if you want capability without going all the way to the ZR2.
• ZR2: This is the most capable off-road version, with the highest-output engine, a bigger instrument display, mud-terrain tyres, and exclusive Multimatic DSSV dampers. Choose it if serious trail performance is your priority and you’re willing to pay for it.

Chevy Safety Assist is standard across the lineup, but the more advanced driver-assistance features remain optional.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Chevrolet Colorado?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting huge discounts everywhere.

• Deal availability: 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 231 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.65% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $43,156 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado's resale value?

The current average of $43,694 CAD sits slightly below last year's $46,311 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Colorado has become a bit easier to buy than it was a year ago. For a future seller, that means you may not see the same pricing strength if the market stays soft.

The truck still has appeal thanks to its updated design, strong capability, and tech-rich cabin, which should help support demand. But the current trend also shows that buyers have become more price-sensitive, so condition, trim, and equipment will matter a lot when you go to sell.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado safe?

The 2023 Chevrolet Colorado earns Good ratings from IIHS and five-star ratings from NHTSA.

It earns a 3/10 safety score from our experts.

Chevy Safety Assist is the standard driver-assistance suite, and it includes forward collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Optional upgrades include adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring with active steering assist, rear cross-traffic and pedestrian alert with automatic braking, and rear parking sensors.

The main caveat is the forward collision warning system, which is described as overly sensitive and prone to false alerts. That issue is serious enough to affect day-to-day livability, even though the truck’s broader safety equipment list is strong.

Should I buy a 2023 Chevrolet Colorado or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.65% compared with last year.
• It gives you the redesigned Colorado’s updated tech, strong capability, and off-road focus.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $47,537 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $43,694 CAD average.
• It shifts further toward recreation-focused trims and a more lifestyle-oriented identity.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2023 is the smarter starting point because it delivers the redesign at a lower average price. If you’re willing to pay more for the next year’s broader lifestyle focus, the 2024 is the alternative to consider.
