Is the 2022 RAM 3500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.86/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback highlights dependable performance, strong towing ability, and a truck that many buyers feel confident living with over time. For used buyers, that means the long-term ownership risk looks manageable, but a careful inspection is still important.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 RAM 3500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and focused.

• Deal availability: 27.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 268 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.20% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $61,883 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 RAM 3500's resale value?

The current average of $63,316 CAD sits slightly below last year's $68,230 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more affordably now but may also mean future resale gains are more limited. If you plan to sell later, the softer pricing trend means your return will depend more on condition, mileage, and equipment than on broad market appreciation. Strong demand for capable heavy-duty trucks should still support interest, especially if your truck is well maintained and properly documented.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.86/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 RAM 3500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 27.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.20% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.86/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a heavy-duty truck with strong owner approval, solid inventory, and a softer price trend, the 2022 is the year to focus on. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a similar truck lands at a lower asking price, but the 2022 already looks like a sensible target for shoppers who value capability and comfort.
