Owners consistently praise its powerful performance, towing capability, spacious interior, and comfort, and many also like the unique RAM Box feature and the truck’s overall value for money. Is the 2022 RAM 3500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.86/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck that many people find dependable in day-to-day use, especially when it comes to performance, towing, and comfort. At the same time, some reviewers mention transmission concerns, so you should pay close attention to service records and how the truck drives under load. For used buyers, that means the long-term ownership risk looks manageable, but a careful inspection is still important.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 RAM 3500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 272 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.53% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $61,901 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 RAM 3500's resale value?

The current average of $63,779 CAD sits slightly below last year's $68,235 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can make the truck easier to buy now but may also mean future sellers need to be realistic on asking price. If you own one for a few years, the current trend implies resale values may stay under pressure unless demand strengthens. Strong owner satisfaction can help support demand, though, especially for well-kept trucks with the right equipment and history. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.86/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 RAM 3500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.53% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.86/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2022 RAM 3500 is the better fit if you want a heavy-duty truck with strong owner approval, solid market availability, and a price trend that has moved in your favour. If you are more price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby model years and focus on the best-maintained truck rather than the newest badge, especially if you can find one near the lower end of the current range.
