Used 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander for Sale nearSaskatoon, SK

How much does the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander cost?

Prices have softened 12.50% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 184 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for shoppers comparing this SUV.

Is the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander earns a 4.6/5 user rating and a 7.67/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Technology.

Drivers consistently praise the smooth drive, advanced features, and stylish look. For you, that means the Outlander makes the most sense if you want a fresh redesign with a more polished feel and a modern cabin. The trade-off is that the third row is small and cargo space shrinks when all seats are in use.

With 31.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to find value if you shop carefully.

Is the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels smooth, advanced, and stylish, while also being one that drivers feel good about living with over time. The expert assessment also describes it as a worthy consideration with few flaws, which supports the idea that it should be a dependable choice if you buy one that has been maintained properly.

Mitsubishi also backs it with a 10-year/160,000-kilometre powertrain warranty, a five-year/100,000-kilometre standard warranty, and five years of free roadside assistance. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright durability and more about whether you can live with the driving dynamics and packaging compromises.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lower grades get 18-inch alloy wheels, while the rest move to 20-inch wheels. Higher trims add premium semi-aniline leather, a head-up display, a premium sound system, and a power panoramic glass sunroof, so the feature gap between the lower and upper trims is meaningful.
• Powertrain: You get a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine with 181 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque, paired with a CVT and S-AWC all-wheel drive. It is tuned more for everyday use than strong acceleration, and the expert drive notes that it can feel underpowered on highway ramps and during passing.
• Safety package: The Outlander includes forward collision mitigation, safe reversing, lane-keeping assist and lane departure warning, plus blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert. It also uses a hands-on Level 2 driver-assist system that works with commendable refinement, smoothness, and accuracy.
• Infotainment: The 9-inch touchscreen is standard on LE and up, and it includes stereo volume and tuning knobs, Bluetooth, and wireless Apple CarPlay. Android Auto requires a wire, and wireless smartphone charging is standard above the base model.
• Fuel efficiency: The expert test route returned 9.4 L/100 km, compared with an official combined rating of 8.9 L/100 km for AWD models.

Which 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander trim should I buy?

The 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander is offered in 7 trim levels: ES, SE, LE, LE Premium, SEL, GT, and GT Premium.

Here's the short version:

• ES: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the redesigned Outlander’s core appeal, including standard AWD and the new styling. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the model, but you give up some of the richer tech and comfort features found higher up.
• SE: This is a sensible step up if you want a better balance of equipment without jumping too far in price. It should suit you if you want more than the base trim but do not need the luxury touches of the upper grades.
• LE: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds the 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay, plus the broader tech package that makes the cabin feel more modern.
• LE Premium: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel without going all the way to the top trims. It builds on the LE’s equipment and is a good fit if comfort matters more to you than chasing every available feature.
• SEL: This trim is for shoppers who want a more premium overall experience and are willing to pay for it. It sits in the middle of the range and should appeal if you want a richer cabin without stepping into the GT models.
• GT: This is where the Outlander’s standout technology becomes more obvious, including the 12.3-inch digital instrumentation display. It is a strong choice if you value a more advanced cockpit.
• GT Premium: This is the most luxurious version, with premium semi-aniline leather, a head-up display, a premium sound system, and the most upscale presentation in the lineup. It is the one to buy if you want the most fully equipped Outlander.

The safety package is broad across the lineup, but the driver-assist system’s intrusive steering behaviour is worth testing for yourself before you commit.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 184 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.50% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $26,159 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander's resale value?

The current average of $26,159 CAD sits slightly below last year's $29,896 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Outlander has softened enough to create a better entry point for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may face some pressure if depreciation continues at the same pace. If you buy now, you are starting from a lower base than last year’s shoppers did, which can help limit how much value you lose in the near term. The model’s strong equipment and broad appeal should help support demand, but resale will still depend on condition, mileage, and trim choice.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander safe?

The 2022 Outlander earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the IIHS and a five-star overall rating from NHTSA, with four-star ratings on frontal crash and rollover performance.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard safety suite includes forward collision mitigation, safe reversing, lane-keeping assist and lane departure warning, plus blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert. The hands-on Level 2 driver-assist system is a highlight because it works with commendable refinement, smoothness, and accuracy.

One caveat is that headlights on units built before July 2021 receive a Poor rating, so you should pay close attention to build date when shopping used examples.

Should I buy a 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.50% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 stands out as a redesigned, all-new model with a more polished feel, smooth drive, advanced features, and stylish look.

The bottom line: If you want the redesigned Outlander and value a more modern cabin, the 2022 is the right place to start. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may still want to compare nearby model years, but the 2022 offers the strongest mix of fresh design, equipment, and market softness.
