Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Mazda MAZDA3 Sport?

This looks like a moderate buyer's market, so you can be selective without waiting for a perfect deal.

• Deal availability: 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 105 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.72% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $18,126 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Mazda MAZDA3 Sport's resale value?

The current average of $18,353 CAD sits slightly below last year's $21,028 CAD.

For a future seller, that points to a softer pricing environment than the one seen a year ago. If you buy at the right price now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later. The key is to avoid overpaying upfront, since resale value will depend heavily on how close your purchase price is to the lower end of the market.

Should I buy a 2019 Mazda MAZDA3 Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.72% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2019 is the better fit if you want a used Mazda MAZDA3 Sport in a market where prices have eased and there are still enough listings to compare. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may also want to look at nearby years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of condition, mileage, and asking price.
