Used 2022 Lexus IS for Sale nearBurnaby, BC

How much does the 2022 Lexus IS cost?

Prices have softened 5.17% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 68 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for shoppers comparing options.

Is the 2022 Lexus IS a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Lexus IS earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.17/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its luxurious feel, quiet ride, and reliable performance, and many also like the powerful V6 engine and all-wheel drive. That lines up well with the model’s use case as a compact luxury sedan that blends everyday refinement with a sharper, more engaging driving character.

With 30.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful market opportunity if you want one.

Is the 2022 Lexus IS reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback highlights reliable performance, and reviewers also describe it as a car you can count on for a quiet, luxurious daily drive. The expert evaluation adds that it delivers the comfort, quality, and dependability you’d expect from a Lexus.

If you’re buying used, the main ownership risk is less about basic durability and more about choosing a well-kept example with the right equipment and service history.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Lexus IS?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The IS 500 F Sport Performance adds a more dramatic V8 character, exclusive styling touches, triple-beam headlights, a navigation system, a surround-view monitoring system, and a 17-speaker Mark Levinson premium sound system. The base IS 350 F Sport is still a satisfying sports sedan, but it does not bring the same level of performance theatre or equipment.
• Powertrain: The IS 500 F Sport Performance uses a naturally aspirated 5.0-litre V8 with rear-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic. It delivers strong acceleration and a more emotional driving experience, but it is not especially fuel-efficient.
• Safety package: Lexus Safety System+ 2.5 is standard on all 2022 IS models. It includes collision warning and emergency braking, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control with lane-centring assistance, blind spot monitoring, and related collision-prevention technologies.
• Infotainment: The cabin uses an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, and SiriusXM satellite radio. The IS 500 also adds a 10.3-inch touchscreen, navigation, and a 17-speaker Mark Levinson audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: The IS 500 averaged 13.3 L/100 km in evaluation, and the official combined rating is 11.9 L/100 km.

Which 2022 Lexus IS trim should I buy?

The 2022 Lexus IS is offered in 2 trim levels: IS 350 F Sport and IS 500 F Sport Performance.

Here's the short version:

• IS 350 F Sport: This is the better-value choice if you want the core Lexus IS experience with strong performance, a refined cabin, and a lower price than the V8 model. It suits you best if you want a sporty luxury sedan without paying for the most dramatic powertrain.
• IS 500 F Sport Performance: Choose this if you want the most distinctive version of the lineup. The V8, upgraded brakes, adaptive suspension, Yamaha rear performance damper, and richer standard equipment make it the enthusiast pick.

Lexus Safety System+ 2.5 is standard across the lineup, so you do not need to move up trims for the core safety suite.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Lexus IS?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on strong listings.

• Deal availability: 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 68 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.17% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $38,867 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Lexus IS's resale value?

The current average of $40,125 CAD sits slightly below last year's $42,311 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more favourable for buyers, which can make it harder for future sellers to command top dollar immediately. Even so, the year-round range still shows healthy upper-end pricing, which points to steady interest in well-equipped examples. Stronger trims and clean-condition vehicles should hold up better than average.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Lexus IS safe?

The Lexus IS earns the highest overall rating of “Top Safety Pick+” from IIHS and earns an overall rating of five stars from NHTSA, with a five-star rating for rollover resistance and a four-star frontal-impact collision rating for the driver and front passenger.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Lexus Safety System+ 2.5 is standard on all 2022 IS models. It includes collision warning and emergency braking, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control with lane-centring assistance, blind spot monitoring, and related collision-prevention technologies.

There are some caveats to keep in mind: the lane-centring system can react too aggressively on tighter curves, and the low-speed automatic braking can be intrusive in heavy city traffic.

Should I buy a 2022 Lexus IS or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.17% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 adds the IS 500 F Sport Performance, bringing a V8-powered enthusiast option to the lineup.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $38,238 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $40,125 CAD average.
• It marks the start of the new generation and targets drivers who want a sharper, more enthusiast-focused compact luxury sedan.

The bottom line: Choose the 2022 if you want the stronger performance story and are comfortable paying a bit more for it. If your priority is saving money, the 2021 is the smarter value play, especially if you want the same generation’s core character at a lower entry price.
