Looks awesome, feels awesome, built to last Japanese engineering, and twin turbo’d. Doesn’t get any better than that.
Mar 27, 2021
Excellent car, drive ability is amazing, super comfortable and sleek.
Oct 25, 2020
First time owning a Lexus and I am in love with it starting from the way it looks to how it drives! I thought that the value was good considering the low mileage and lifetime warranty on the engine!
Jul 7, 2023
Car rides excellent, all of the features provide a great ride, not too much but enough to enjoy the car. The main focus is the ride which is excellent.
Sep 17, 2021
Features of the car was seasoned vintage painting with the 21st-century well-crafted driving machine. I do think the prices are a little high because of the chip shortage. The car is missing a panoramic roof. I’ll put it up to any Mercedes BMW brand even the low in Maserati. I do thank you for letting me come in on such a well-designed of a machine.

How much does the 2016 Lexus IS cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $22,246 CAD |
| Year-Round Low | $21,000 CAD |
| Year-Round High | $24,943 CAD |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $23,474 CAD |
| Change vs. Last Year | −5.23% |
Prices have softened 5.23% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.
There are 46 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for shoppers comparing used examples.
Is the 2016 Lexus IS a good car?
Yes — the 2016 Lexus IS earns a 4.9/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the performance, comfort, and stylish design, and many also highlight the luxury feel and reliability. The F Sport package is another recurring positive, especially for drivers who want a more engaging experience. With 37.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop selectively.
Is the 2016 Lexus IS reliable?
Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The review summary also points to reliability as a major strength, with owners specifically calling out the car’s dependable character and the confidence it inspires over time. That kind of feedback matters if you want a used luxury sedan you can count on for regular driving. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific car has been cared for properly, since condition can vary widely from one listing to another.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Lexus IS?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.
- Deal availability: 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 46 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 5.23% compared with last year.
If you find a listing below $21,000 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2016 Lexus IS's resale value?
The current average of $22,246 CAD sits slightly below last year's $23,474 CAD.
That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more favourable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy at the right number now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later. Strong owner satisfaction can help support demand when it is time to sell.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2016 Lexus IS or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2016 if:
- 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 5.23% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
The bottom line: If you want a used luxury sedan with strong owner approval and a market that still offers some deal opportunities, the 2016 is a sensible choice. If your priority is stretching your budget further, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the best-priced examples rather than the newest one available.
