How much does the 2022 Hyundai Palisade cost?

Prices have softened 14.47% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 308 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Hyundai Palisade a good car?

Yes — you get a 4.6/5 user rating and an 8.5/10 expert rating, which points to broad appeal for family buyers. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Cost effectiveness, and Safety.

Owners commonly praise its spaciousness, luxury features, and smooth ride, along with the sense that it works well as a family vehicle. The main trade-offs are road noise and some missing convenience features on pricier versions.

For a three-row SUV aimed at comfort, style, and everyday usability, that mix makes sense. With 32.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there are still some attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2022 Hyundai Palisade reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with buyers often highlighting the model’s strong family-friendly appeal and confidence-inspiring feature set. The expert evaluation also frames it as a well-rounded SUV with strong everyday usability and a polished feel.

It also comes with five years/100,000 kilometres of new-car warranty and five years/unlimited kilometres of roadside assistance, which helps reduce early ownership risk. For used buyers, the main long-term concern is making sure the vehicle has been maintained properly, especially given its premium equipment and complex feature set.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Hyundai Palisade?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Preferred is well equipped, while Urban adds more technology and convenience features, and Ultimate Calligraphy brings the most premium cabin and equipment. The base trim misses some of the higher-end tech and comfort upgrades found higher up the range.
• Powertrain: You get a naturally aspirated 3.8-litre V6 with direct injection and an eight-speed automatic transmission, plus standard all-wheel drive in Canada. It is smooth and strong, but fuel economy is not class-leading.
• Safety package: Standard driver assistance includes blind-spot collision avoidance assist, rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, forward collision-avoidance assist with pedestrian detection, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, lane-following assist, safe exit assist, and trailer sway control. Urban and Ultimate Calligraphy add forward-looking parking sensors, and Ultimate Calligraphy adds Highway Driving Assist.
• Infotainment: The standard system uses a 1920 x 720 colour touchscreen. Wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are included, and all trims but the base get the 630-watt Harman Kardon premium audio system. Blue Link connected services are standard on Urban and Ultimate Calligraphy.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada estimates fuel consumption at 12.3 L/100 km in the city, 9.6 L/100 km on the highway, and 11.1 L/100 km combined.

Which 2022 Hyundai Palisade trim should I buy?

The 2022 Hyundai Palisade is offered in 3 trim levels: Preferred, Urban, Ultimate Calligraphy.

Here's the short version:

• Preferred: This is the value play if you want the Palisade’s core strengths without stretching to the pricier trims. It is already well equipped and gives you the full three-row, standard-AWD package.
• Urban: This is the best-value upgrade if you want more convenience and technology, including features that make the cabin feel more upscale and easier to live with.
• Ultimate Calligraphy: Choose this if you want the most premium version, with the richest equipment list and the most luxury-oriented presentation.

The safety package is strong across the lineup, with additional driver-assistance and parking features added as you move up the trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Hyundai Palisade?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully and move quickly on strong examples.

• Deal availability: 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 308 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.47% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $31,700 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Hyundai Palisade's resale value?

The current average of $31,700 CAD sits slightly below last year's $37,064 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy well now, you may have less downside risk than someone who paid closer to the prior-year average. Strong demand for roomy, well-equipped three-row SUVs should still help support values over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Hyundai Palisade safe?

Should I buy a 2022 Hyundai Palisade or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.47% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines a roomy cabin, standard AWD, and strong safety ratings.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $26,970 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $31,700 CAD average.
• It adds more standard equipment and a new luxury-themed trim.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $38,628 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $31,700 CAD average.
• It brings a refreshed look and more standard and optional tech and safety features.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around pick if you want a well-rated, well-equipped Palisade at a softer price than newer examples. If your budget is tighter, the 2021 is the value alternative; if you want the refreshed look and added tech, the 2023 is the upgrade path.
