Is the 2025 Hyundai Palisade a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Hyundai Palisade earns 5/5 from owners and 9/10 from our experts. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

It fits your needs well if you want a roomy, family-oriented three-row SUV with an upscale feel, thoughtful packaging, and strong value. The Palisade has aged remarkably well, and its last-year status for this generation may make it especially appealing if you find the right deal. 30.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which is a healthy sign of market opportunity.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Palisade reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Palisade’s overall package points to solid dependability for used buyers: it has a strong warranty, a refined V6 powertrain, and a well-rounded design that has been steadily improved over time. Its performance is described as smooth and refined, and the transmission is praised for silky shifts. Hyundai also includes three years of Bluelink connected services for Canadian owners, which adds useful ownership convenience.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that this is the final year of the current generation, so you should pay close attention to maintenance history and condition.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Hyundai Palisade?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Preferred trim already has a clean, modern, and uplevel look and feel, while higher trims add premium leather, metal speaker grilles, and other luxury cues. The Urban trim adds front parking sensors, a surround-view camera, and Blind Spot View Monitor, while Ultimate Calligraphy adds evasive steering assist, lane-change assist functions, automatic braking when parking, and Remote Smart Parking Assist.
• Powertrain: Every Palisade uses a 3.8-litre V6 with 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic and standard all-wheel drive in Canada. It is smooth and refined, but it is not especially fuel-efficient.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, intersection turning assist, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, Highway Driving Assist, and an ultrasonic rear occupant alert system. The Urban trim adds front parking sensors, a surround-view camera, and Blind Spot View Monitor, while Ultimate Calligraphy adds more advanced parking and lane-change assistance.
• Infotainment: You get a 12.3-inch digital driver display and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto require a cable, so wireless smartphone integration is not included. The system also offers two-device Bluetooth support, wireless smartphone charging, SiriusXM, navigation, voice recognition, and Bluelink+ connected services.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada lists combined fuel consumption at 11.1 L/100 km, and our testing recorded 13.9 L/100 km in city driving and 11.9 L/100 km overall.

Which 2025 Hyundai Palisade trim should I buy?

The 2025 Hyundai Palisade is offered in 4 trim levels: Preferred, Urban, Ultimate Calligraphy, and Ultimate Calligraphy Night Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Preferred: This is the entry point, but it still delivers a clean, modern cabin and the Palisade’s strong overall family-friendly packaging. It makes sense if you want the core experience without paying for the extra luxury and parking tech.
• Urban: This is the best-value trim if you want the biggest jump in everyday convenience. It adds front parking sensors, a surround-view camera, and Blind Spot View Monitor, which meaningfully improve low-speed manoeuvring and visibility.
• Ultimate Calligraphy: This is the most luxurious mainstream choice, with premium leather, metal speaker grilles, evasive steering assist, lane-change assist functions, automatic braking when parking, and Remote Smart Parking Assist. It suits you if you want the most upscale Palisade experience.
• Ultimate Calligraphy Night Edition: This trim is for shoppers who want the top-end look and equipment with a darker appearance theme.

The safety package starts with a strong standard feature set, and the Urban and Ultimate Calligraphy trims add useful extra driver-assistance and parking technologies.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Hyundai Palisade?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 30.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 436 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.76% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $47,977 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Hyundai Palisade's resale value?

The current average of $48,022 CAD sits slightly below last year's $57,007 CAD.

That price drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that the Palisade’s value is tied closely to condition, trim, and how well-equipped the vehicle is. Well-kept examples with desirable features should hold buyer interest better than average.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Palisade safe?

The 2025 Palisade earns a Top Safety Pick from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety through 2024, but a Poor rating in the moderate overlap frontal-impact test prevented that accolade in 2025. It earns five-star frontal impact ratings and four-star rollover resistance ratings from NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Hyundai equips the Palisade with forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, intersection turning assist, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, Highway Driving Assist, and an ultrasonic rear occupant alert system. The Urban trim adds front parking sensors, a surround-view camera, and Blind Spot View Monitor, while Ultimate Calligraphy adds evasive steering assist, lane-change assist functions, automatic braking when parking, and Remote Smart Parking Assist.

Should I buy a 2025 Hyundai Palisade or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 30.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.76% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It remains a well-rounded, last-year version of the current generation with strong family appeal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $42,925 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $48,022 CAD average.
• It offers roomy practicality with upscale materials and thoughtful amenities.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It is a redesigned version with multiple powertrain options and a better ride.
• It is positioned as the strongest choice if you want the newest Palisade.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of value and current-generation polish, the 2025 is the one to target. If price matters most, the 2024 is the smarter budget play. If you want the newest design and can spend more, the 2026 is the upgrade path.

How does the 2025 Hyundai Palisade compare to the 2025 Kia Telluride?

Our experts score the 2025 Hyundai Palisade 9/10 and the 2025 Kia Telluride 8.2/10. The Palisade stands out for its upscale feel, thoughtful packaging, and stronger expert score, while the Telluride undercuts it slightly on price and has a larger share of good and great deals. The Palisade also has far more listings available, which should make shopping easier. If you want the more polished-feeling family SUV, the Palisade is the stronger pick; if you want to prioritise lower average used pricing, the Telluride deserves a look.
