How much does the 2022 Hyundai Palisade cost?

There are 308 listings available, which suggests a reasonable amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2022 Hyundai Palisade a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Hyundai Palisade earns a 4.59/5 user rating and an 8.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Cost effectiveness, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its spaciousness, luxury features, and smooth ride, and they also value the advanced technology and safety features. In practical terms, that makes it a strong fit if you want a family-focused three-row SUV with a more polished feel than many rivals.

The main trade-offs are the sluggish touchscreen response and the unintuitive interface, along with some road noise and a few missing features at the price point. Even so, the Palisade’s roomy cabin and upscale presentation make it especially appealing if you prioritise comfort and family usability.

Only 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market still rewards careful shopping.

Is the 2022 Hyundai Palisade reliable?

Owners rate it 4.59/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with owners especially appreciating the Palisade’s spaciousness, comfort, and feature content. The overall impression is that it’s a vehicle you can count on for family duty over the long term.

Its strong warranty coverage also supports confidence in day-to-day ownership. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is more about feature expectations and technology frustrations than major durability concerns.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Hyundai Palisade?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Preferred is well equipped, but the Urban and Ultimate Calligraphy add more luxury and convenience features. The higher trims also bring extras such as surround view, a digital instrument cluster, head-up display, and Highway Driving Assist, so you should compare equipment carefully if you want the most complete package.
• Powertrain: You get a naturally aspirated 3.8-litre V6 with direct gasoline injection and an eight-speed automatic transmission, plus standard all-wheel drive in Canada. It’s tuned for smooth family use rather than fuel-sipping efficiency.
• Safety package: The Palisade includes a broad suite of standard driver assistance features, including blind-spot collision avoidance assist, rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, forward collision-avoidance assist with pedestrian detection, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, lane-following assist, and safe exit assist. Urban and Ultimate Calligraphy add forward-looking parking sensors, and Ultimate Calligraphy adds Highway Driving Assist.
• Infotainment: You get a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, HD Radio, and satellite radio. Urban and Ultimate Calligraphy add Blue Link connected services and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, while Ultimate Calligraphy also adds a head-up display.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada estimates fuel consumption at 12.3 L/100 km in the city, 9.6 L/100 km on the highway, and 11.1 L/100 km combined.

Which 2022 Hyundai Palisade trim should I buy?

The 2022 Hyundai Palisade is offered in 3 trim levels: Preferred, Urban, Ultimate Calligraphy.

Here's the short version:

• Preferred: This is the value pick if you want the Palisade’s core strengths without stretching the budget. It already gives you the roomy cabin, standard all-wheel drive, and the main safety and infotainment features, so it covers the essentials well.
• Urban: This is the best-value upgrade if you want more convenience and a more premium feel. It adds features such as surround view, Blue Link connected services, and the digital instrument cluster, making it a smart middle ground.
• Ultimate Calligraphy: This is the trim to choose if you want the most upscale Palisade experience. It adds the head-up display, wireless charging, a 115-volt outlet, and Highway Driving Assist, and it leans hardest into the near-luxury character.

The safety package is strong across the lineup, with the most advanced driver-assistance features reserved for the upper trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Hyundai Palisade?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you should shop carefully and compare listings.

• Deal availability: 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 308 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.30% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $32,505 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Hyundai Palisade's resale value?

The current average of $32,672 CAD sits slightly below last year's $37,684 CAD.

That price decline suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to be realistic about pricing. If you buy now, you’re entering at a lower average cost than owners saw a year ago, which can help reduce depreciation pressure in the near term.

For resale, the Palisade’s strong reputation for comfort, space, and features should help keep demand healthy. Well-equipped family SUVs with broad appeal tend to hold attention better than more niche models, especially when owner satisfaction is strong.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.59/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Hyundai Palisade safe?

The 2022 Hyundai Palisade is a Top Safety Pick+ from the IIHS and earns five-star ratings from NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Hyundai equips the Palisade with a long list of standard safety features, including blind-spot collision avoidance assist, rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, forward collision-avoidance assist with pedestrian detection, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, lane-following assist, safe exit assist, rear occupant alert, and trailer sway control. Urban and Ultimate Calligraphy add forward-looking parking sensors, while Ultimate Calligraphy also adds Highway Driving Assist.

That means even the lower trims are well covered, but the upper trims bring a more advanced driver-assistance experience. For used buyers, the main safety caveat is simply that some of the most helpful convenience and parking aids are not standard on every trim.

Should I buy a 2022 Hyundai Palisade or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.30% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.59/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines strong safety, a roomy cabin, and a polished near-luxury feel.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $27,291 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $32,672 CAD average.
• It adds more standard equipment and a new luxury-themed trim.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $39,536 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $32,672 CAD average.
• It brings a facelift and more standard and optional tech and safety features.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, features, and safety, the 2022 is the sweet spot. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2021 is the value play; if you want the newer look and added equipment, the 2023 is the upgrade path.
